What People are saying

Cozy stay

This was out first time to try a B&B establishment and what a pleasant surprise! I read a little about the house and and its first owner and we were intrigued about its connection to Abraham Lincoln and since we are big admirers of the Honest Abe we were excited to stay there. The owners have really tried to make the interior to look like we are still in the 19th century. That includes tableware, bedrooms decor, etc. Great breakfast in the morning adds to the amazing time we spent there. Highly recommended!

Cute!

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and I'm happy to say we want to try others! We were able to book last minute and the price was more than reasonable. We were put in the cottage behind the house and other than the cable TV deciding to go out one night, I have no complaints. The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was also clean, and the air conditioner/heating unit worked. Breakfast both mornings was good, and the owner was very nice.

Wonderful Stay in Kentucky

We stayed there for a weekend and had a great time. The breakfast was well prepared and tasted great. the room was great and the host's were great too. Will be going back soon. A lot to do in that area of Kentucky.

Great stay in Glasgow, KY

My wife and I had to go to the Glasgow area to attend a family funeral. We found the 1818 Main St. B&B on trip advisor, read the reviews and decided to book. We were not disappointed. The owner was extremely accommodating and let us check in early so that we could change clothes and go to visiting hours. The managers helped us in every way that they could.

We returned to a very comfortable and spacious room. The bed was comfortable and we had a very good night's sleep. When we went down for breakfast, we were greeted with coffee and orange juice followed by a very generous and tasty breakfast.

We both enjoyed this B&B tremendously and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area! We will be back!

Lovely stay

We spent two nights last weekend. The owners did a really good job restoring this house (used to be a school house, I think). The owners were pleasant and very welcoming. Our room on the second floor was well-appointed, clean and cozy. The decor is rustic, a mix of real antiques and store-bought, rustic-themed items. The bed was comfortable. My wife said she had the best shower she can remember. The bathroom was nicely done. Good water pressure. There is about as much privacy as one could expect in an older family dwelling, but one knows that when going to a bed and breakfast. The fellow travelers were as considerate as one could hope for.

Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, juice, fruit salad, coffee, and tea. One morning we had pancakes, the next, waffles. Breakfast was served at 8:30 am sharp. Enough to eat and drink. Nothing rushed. Pleasant conversation.

It's a good place to unwind in a small town. Life in Glasgow is slow and easy, compared to city living. There aren't many attractions, but there are a couple restaurants with good food (A Little Taste of Texas) within walking distance and a little further out (Rib Lickers) and the Plaza, a live venue for music and probably live theater. A concert was sold out while we were there. So I would advise planning/reserving your evening's entertainment when you book the room. It's not really the ghost town described by another review. It's a small, pleasant town in rural Kentucky.

There are several churches within a couple minutes of walking.

We'll be back when we go on vacation again in the area and prefer it to chain motels/hotels.
