What a lovely couple of nights in Treviso
Jleeflemmingon 08/05/2017 15:43We thought the B&B was very easy to find and only 5 minutes from the centre of Treviso. They let us have our room when we arrived which was slightly early but a big bonus as we wanted to get out and explore. The owners are very very friendly and can't do enough for you. We had room 3 on the second floor and found it very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is on the same floor but is not en suite, it is for your use only though which we didn't mind. Breakfast was lovely, Luca and Franca did amazing accomaditing a salted English breakfast (bacon and eggs) which they hadn't done before and it was wonderful, and so filling that we didn't need to eat until tea time. Check out was seamless and Luca was more than happy for us to store our bags. 10/10 we cannot wait to come back! Thank you both!
Quiet, Contemporary, Great Vibe
AdvancedCakeon 02/05/2017 12:04Excellent accommodations within the old city of Treviso, we walked everywhere - 10 minutes to the Duomo, Piazza dei Signori etc. We had the spacious 1st floor street-facing room, with giant private bath. Luca the proprietor is charming, we were able to communicate quite well in a combination of English & Spanish. He personally prepared an abundant breakfast. A memorable 2 day stay before we headed to Venice!
One night in Treviso
Tim Ron 17/10/2016 10:50On route so wanted somewhere central so we could explore. Not a good start as we turned up and the owner was not there which we discovered after ringing the bell for 15 minutes. I phoned a mobile number under the bell and it turns out he was out shopping and we waited another 10 minutes for him to return.....after which we sat in the kitchen with him drinking local beer and wine and getting to know each other! Very small B&B, loads of character (just like the owner) and matches the town itself. Stylish and very Italian, clean, good value and great experience, even getting left outside due to the owner being late (also very Italian!!!)
Breakfast cooked in front of you in the small kitchen with lots of chat and advice and the centre of this beautiful town/city is 5 minutes around the corner. If you are a traveller its a must, if you are not, well get practising!!
Boutique style room
Lori81on 27/08/2016 13:31We spend only one night in this lovely, small hotel. Our room was situated in the attic and it was lovely (besides the steep stairway leading to our room) Breakfast was good and served in the kitchen, just like being at home :) It also has a nice small garden at the back.
This is where I'll recommend friends to stay
Lucrezia_Pagnanaon 29/06/2015 13:17My first time in Treviso. I asked advise to my sister and a friend, they visited separately but both recommended 19 Borgo Cavour.
Thus I emailed them directly, Marta replied promptly confirming availability and reservation, reassuring me there was going to be someone awaiting for us even in case of late arrival.
And so it was, we were welcomed by a very kind staff that helped me with suitcases up to the 2nd floor, opens a door to the left and takes us up a short but steep final ramp that opens to the coziest and smart room I've seen in some time.
Turchese is a lovely attic room with two big windows and a skylight window, thus ideal for those like me that love bright rooms (less if you need to sleep in total dark), and silent aircon that allows you to keep the room cool even in the hottest of days.
The bathroom is literally ensuite, that is the sink and the pretty bathtub are sitting in the living area almost as a pieces of design and behind an old and wooden door there is a small toilet room with a little window and rooftops view.
No wardrobe but a stylish and practical coat rack which was just fine to hang out those few clothes I brought for the weekend.
Finally the mattress was on a pallet-bed both nice and comfortable - towels and linen where crispy clean and white.
They were doing some maintenance to the kitchen over the weekend thus they informed us that on saturday morning they could not serve breakfast, but would offer a little discount on that nigh rate. Instead the following morning we had a late breakfast: there were 3 freshly baked cakes, croissants, cereals, biscuits, rusks, home made jam and their coffee machine made a small but foamy cappuccino, water and orange juice to drink. It was sunny so we enjoyed an intimate breakfast in the little backyard garden.
19 Borgo Cavour is also very covenantally located: within the walls, but not in the pedestrian area, so you can easily find parking (the staff will kindly suggest a free parking lot - that we did not find... and in the end decided to leave it just in front of the B&B. 5 € for the entire morning, but then you can extend and pay your extra parking time from whichever parking meter in town, as long as you remember the number of your parking space. Very clever Treviso!), walk around and visit everything by foot.
I had a look also to the other rooms as I was checking out, they are all very nice and stylish but from what I gathered not all have ensuite bathroom (though I'm not sure if it is shared for the floor or a door opposite to the bedroom. I suggest you double check this whiles booking!)
Only weakness they do not redo your room in the morning and to my surprise we returned later on the saturday with the bed undone - being it a B&B I do not expect or require linen to be changed everyday, but I do appreciate having my bed redone daily. That is my only advise to owners to improve further.
Overall our stay was great and I will surely (and have already started) recommending 19 Borgo Cavour to all my friends!
