Decent hostel for what I needed
steve_cole1on 21/06/2017 20:35The hostel was good, staff were helpful and the dorm I stayed in was comfortable and clean. The only reason I stayed there because there was free parking and it was near templehof airport for the Formula E. If I was flying into Berlin I think I would stay somewhere closer to the city. It is close to a U-bahn and S-bahn stop but you have to go a number of stops and lines to get to most of the touristy areas.
basic hostel, poor wifi and not as social/comfy as expected
TillyWondereron 12/06/2017 23:07Stayed 7days - the good thing is the rooms, beds and bathrooms are clean. the cocktails are nice and they have an outdoor seating area. close to an Aldi, a kebab shop a supermarket, a 24hour shop and right next to the METRO. however the wifi in the rooms always cuts out. you may be connected for 30mins and then not connected for another 1-4hours. the sofa/lounge area is close to the reception with only 2 couches so just appears to be more of a 2nd waiting area and there are only 2 channels in english(maybe I'm fussy). the canteen is right next to it so you can sit on hard benches and watch tv if you like. they CHARGE EXTRA FOR MAKING SURE ALL GUESTS ARE IN THE SAME ROOM. they got my booking wrong so for the 1st night I either had to share with more people or pay for a private room. YES I PAID FOR THEIR MISTAKE. The kitchen area had worn out sofas and just not what I expected for a medium/big sized hostel. service was basic. 2% service charge for paying with card. its not a comfy social hostel with their own organised activities/walks for guests or board games. one of the ladies DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO HELP ME CONFIRM THE METRO WAS WORKING TO THE AIRPORT. Also NO AC so very warm/hot and if you are on the same side as the metro - it is NOISY (I think most of the dorms face the metro tracks) also a lack of proper curtains - the metro users defo get good shows... I don't think its value for money but I could maybeeeeee stay again but just don't expect much...Maybe I'm a fussy hostel stayer lol
Value for Money, Close to Berlin central
Charanjit_Pablaon 06/06/2017 16:55I stayed there for 4 nights and room was quite big and spacious with nice bed, hygienic washroom and bedsheets and with your personal big locker to put all your stuff, opened by electric door key. It has a big restraurent plus kitten with oven and Freezer. So you can actually quick your own food too and store drinks and other stuff in freezer. It was little noise as very close to train station but if u r am staying in winter with closed windows, it would not be a problem. Just 7 mins to central Berlin by tram. Very good market and food court outside the hostel. Overall good value for money. Strongly recommend

v1ncyon 05/06/2017 11:56They made me pay 2 times: first in the booking and then when i arrived. they said they would give me money back but they didn't.
i paid 3 euros for a bottle of water in the hostel bar. also the accomodatin is pretty expensive.

Convenient hostel
Irene Lisette Con 14/04/2017 18:49A few meters from the Sbahn station, it gives great access to Schonfeld airport and all Berlin. Rooms are quiet large and equipped with private bathroom. Bunks are adequate and offer private socket and light. Secure locker are there too. A great place for people on the move. But expect to be little loud due to the trains..
