Great stay

The positive TA reviews are warranted based on our experience. This is a nice boutique-style hotel, on a quiet street, but very close to the Zona Rosa action.

Do budget for time when going to and from the touristy downtown area. Although it’s a short distance, traffic can make this a lengthy trip. Once it took us almost an hour to get from Candelaria to our hotel during rush hour. We used both Uber and regular taxis, with an overall good experience. There were two occasions (during a 1-week stay) in which one Uber and one Taxi driver took us on a senseless loop to increase the fare.

The Wi-Fi signal was very good at this hotel. Also, we found the breakfasts to be more than adequate, as there was always a bit of a change to the selection each day of our 1-week stay. Staff here are stellar and so kind, including the workers at the desk and the door/entrance.

The only reasons for my 4/5 rating instead of 5/5 are the following:

-Noise: You can hear a lot of what’s going on in the hallway/stairwell, in your neighbour’s room, and outside. There is actually a one centimeter (or so) gap between the top of the door frame and the ceiling, which is totally open to the outside hallway. Even light from the hallway comes in through this gap. Bring wax earplugs, and perhaps a sleep mask.

-Air circulation/stuffiness: I did not have one good sleep at this hotel. I’m used to a good air flow, and cool air, for my sleeping needs. There is no A/C here, nor is there any kind of vent air flow or fan. I know it sounds minor, but this really affected my sleep. This is in stark contrast to our 1-week stay in Leticia in the Amazon during this trip, in which I slept like a baby for 7-nights straight (due to excellent air flow and A/C).

Very nice location. Newer more affluent part of city but still easy transport to old city center. Boutique-feeling hotel, great room, amenities, interesting architecture, good breakfast, excellent service, great value. Would stay again.

Very good hotel convenient to business and pleasure. The hotel exceeded my expectations and the staff were kind and helpful. If you eat anywhere nearby make sure it is restaurant Segundo Bogota!!! Walking distance.

The hotel 84 DC it's located in a beautiful neighborhood in Bogota. The price is good, the employees are very nice, the rooms are ok and the breakfast has everything you will need to start the day. If you have to go to the T zone, then this is your hotel.

Great hotel in a great location

This hotel is in the safest district of Bogota - near upscale food, fun bars and shopping. Museums and more tourist attractions are just a short, cheap cab ride away. This hotel is quiet, located a few blocks off the beaten path. Rooms were a good size and updated nicely. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
