Avoid - 'Generous and delicious breakfast buffet advertised was one croissant!
dazzmondoon 26/11/2016 19:28Room was very basic but was at the lower end of the price range so no problem there. Main point of disgruntlement was that the hotel description includes 'Every morning, you can enjoy the delicious and generous free breakfast on offer. There is also free WiFi in all of the rooms, as well as in the public areas of this guesthouse.' This 'delicious and generous free breakfast' was one croissant per person left outside the room in a plastic container. If there is no breakfast do not mislead customers and let people make their choice - but the description of a 'Free breakfast buffet daily' is any outright lie. When the owner was challenged on this he just shrugged. WiFi poor and patchy also. Very poor, avoid this place if you can.
A compact B&B in a good location close to the Vatican
MAHESH Mon 24/05/2016 22:20We were surprised when we arrived that our family room we booked was intact was a double bedroom converted into a room for 5 (double bedroom, bunk bed and additional rollout bed). As you can imagine this was rather cosy with three young kids. The pictures on the booking site are very misleading as the living area is also rather compact. The breakfast was a selection of croissants and cakes and coffee from a machine (the coffee however was very good as you would expect in Italy) This B&B is intact a converted apartment in a residential building in a very busy part of town.
We did like the central location as the Vatican museum and Cipro metro station are both within walking distance.
There are many local restaurants and cafes to chose from and plenty to do around the area. If you are looking for a place sleep and no planning to spend most of the day outside, this could work.
Wish we would have stayed elsewhere...
bigsmooth469on 22/09/2015 01:00* Communication - no response to 1st email from owner, a scribbled note telling us to call when we arrived (not easy when it costs a lot per min to make calls with your US cell phone), and the # he left did not work. A nearby shop tried the # as well and it didn’t work. * Room – Room we booked wasn’t available upon arrival, so he split our family up into 2 rooms for the 1st night. The next morning he made us move, but we needed to be somewhere so we told him we'd move when we got back around lunch time. Instead of waiting for us to return and move our things, he collected our belongings and left them sitting there in a pile. One night, they didn't bother to clean the room. We also did not have enough soap...we ran out of soap 2 of the 3 nights * Breakfast - basically this is a few pastries, no milk (excuse was grocery store was closed) , cereal (with no milk), some yogurt, and some bread with no butter or toaster. Oh and there's an espresso machine that mysteriously had milk in it. * bathrooms - the shower pressure across 3 rooms was wildly inconsistent...the shower heads need cleaning and replacing * noise - if you don't want to wake up at 8 am due to noise from neighboring rooms, don't stay here. I had no expectation of a 5 star resort, but I also expected actual breakfast, my actual room that I reserved when I arrived, the ability to get into the room without wasting time tracking him down when we arrived, better communication, and soap!
Very nice B&B
Kjetil Non 05/08/2015 10:54This is a very nice B&B. The host is welcoming and helpful, rooms and very nice, comfortable and nicely decorated. Good breakfast and coffee machine (always available) in the "living room". The B&B is only a 10 minute walk from Vatican city and the nearby metro station (Cipro) takes you anywhere in no time.
Excellent
Tamuna Bon 30/06/2015 10:18Me and my friend stayed here in September 2014. B&B is clean, peaceful, nicely decorated and very cozy, with basic buffet breakfast. Our host was super attentive, gave us numerous advises. Location is bit far from center, but near to Vatican Museum and subway is 3 min walk away. Would recommend visitors of Rome and many thanks to "A Casa di Serena a San Pietro".
