Great place to stay!
gardner600on 22/01/2017 19:26I am a beginner golfer. We booked this Resort for a March destination. The condo was very nice, two bedroom and 2 bathroom, great view over the gulf course, and the housekeeping personnel were more than helpful!
There are two courses, both of which have much to offer. The whole area is a wonderful adventure, with so much to see outside of the Golf Resort. But don't get me wrong, the Resort itself was delightful and we spend several days on the course. I would go back there in a heartbeat, despite the extended drive time from West Chester, PA.
Even the weather was extraordinary at 70-78 degrees in March! I literally came home with a sunburn!!!
Poor experience on a nice golf course
Paul Gon 09/10/2016 21:22A-Ga-Ming is a nice golf course but the management of this course (we played Sundance) is terrible. We had a group of 9 golfers yesterday and we all shared the same complaint (as a group we spent about $600.00 at the course). The course was terribly mismanaged resulting in a 6 hour round of golf. The group of us was very slow (they were two holes behind after 3 holes and by the time we got to the 6th hole our round was already at the 2 hour mark. We called the clubhouse and asked them to stop out and talk to the group. It did no good. We even stopped for 10 minutes or so at the clubhouse at the turn hoping the group would have moved along, but they had not even teed off at this time (They were not in the clubhouse as we were the only ones there). The back 9 was just as painful and it took us 6 hours to complete the round (the group in front of us did not play all 18 holes, but we caught up to two groups ahead of them on the 16th hole.
We get together for a guys weekend every year and will never be back to this course.
Couples Trip!
tversluyson 15/09/2016 01:06We had several rooms for our 8 couples. Some were more satisfied than others. Our room was very nicely accommodated and clean. We had a beautiful view of Torch Lake. The bar grill room was great for breakfast and lunch. The courses were beautiful and fun to play. Everything was coordinated very well. We would go back.
Stayed here while visiting Petoskey and Traverse City
natys_mommyon 11/11/2015 16:23My family and I stayed in a 3 bedroom unit in the Vistas. It was perfect for our group. Main floor had kitchen, laundry room, large living room/dining room, 1/2 bath, master suite (2 double beds, huge bathroom, huge closet). The 2nd floor had 2 bedrooms (each with 2 double beds) and a shared bathroom. It had a great deck off the living room with patio furniture and a great view of the golf course.
There really is nothing to do in the direct area (other than golfing). But it was a good central location for us. Just under an hour to Petoskey, about 30 minutes to downtown Traverse City and just under an hour to the wineries on Leelanau peninsula. We had a great time!
Guys golf trip
Nick Hon 07/10/2015 21:44This was all of our first time up. For the price...it was great. We played the Torch and Sundance on October 3rd and pace of play and course conditions were very good. Sundance was very nice and Torch was adequate. The rooms were average but for the price...that was what we expected. I would go back without hesitation. It's nice that the two courses and condo's are all right there together.
