Priceworthy B&B only 5 stations with metro from Plaza Espagne.

Was 3 nights in Rome with my daughter and a friend in sweden who is from Rome rekommended this B&B. We had already booked a B&B i Trastevere but when we checked this out we had 3 nights for the same price as one in Trastevere. We had breakfast in the garden, nothing much but ok. 10 min walk 2 metro. 5 min walk to a real nice osteria Dar Bruttone. we had dinner there 2 nights. real cheap. and the coffeshop just by the B&B had real nice coffe and for a 66cl beer you pay 2€ and in the historic center 6-7€. If you dont want to spend all your mony on a hotel this is perfect alternativ. The owner gives you a lot of information about what to se and where to eat.

Mita was great, rooms were very clean and pleasant

Mita was great, and communicated very well despite us not knowing any Italian! The breakfasts she prepared were excellent, and including strong coffee, croissants, yogurt, and cereal. The rooms were lovely, extremely clean, and located on a fairly quiet street (but only a 15 minute walk from the train station, and a 10 minute walk to the metro). There are quite a few restaurants around, we loved the pizza place on Via Taranto (cheap and delicious). I would definitely stay here again!

Pure deception

Everybody has a different way of appreciating things, and I most certainly do.
I do not agree with the above comments on certain things.
The Pros of this "hotel" would be that the rooms were indeed clean. The situation of this hotel is also okay (walking distance about 7 minutes from metro stop Re di Roma). The hosts are kind.
The Cons on the otherhand are far more numerous.
First of all it is a pain in the [--] that the bathroom is across the hallway. Yes, that means that you get out of your room, unlock your door, and get out in the hallway where everybody can see you to access your toilet !
Secondly, our room was facing the street which gets very noisy, so when having your window open during summer it's quite disturbing early in the morning.
In third place, I would like to address that "fiasco" of a buffet. There weren't any cheese, any olives, any fresh bread, not even bacon, salami, or anything of such. And worse NO EGGS !!! No COLD juice, only little bottles of apricot juice, room temperature..
Instead there was packed sweet italian biscuits, sugar coated croissants, poor choice of packed jam, 2 choices of yogurt, bananas, kiwis, and coffee.
It's basically all sweets in the morning of a hot summer day..nothing salty except for the butter.
I guess cheese, ham and eggs are way too many expectations we had...

Lovely B & B in Rome

We stayed here for several days when we arrived in Rome and also our last night before we returned home. It was a lovely B & B, extremely clean and spotless, with a good (cold) breakfast that included fresh local fruit and good strong coffee as well as much more. It was conveniently located close to the train station, and felt like a safe neighborhood to walk. It was easy walking distance to San Giovanni de Laterano. The hostess was very helpful, providing maps of the area and advice on how to get to local attractions. I would highly recommend this B & B.

Good value accommodation in Rome - it works!

We stayed six nights in a nice room in this well-kept B&B run by a very friendly hostess and her family. Located in a residential neighborhood we enjoyed bars and restaurants nearby - together with locals and not many other tourists. Easily accessible by train from Fiumicino airport, it is a 10 minute walk from Tuscolana station. Although pleasantly detached from the brouhaha of the Centro, it is only a 10 Minute walk to San Giovanni de Laterano and about 20 from the Colosseum. Buses and metro (Re di Roma) nearby offer easy access to all sights, too. We fully recommend A Vinicius et Mita.
