Very calm place! Not so good cost vs. benefit!
Miguleitoon 04/11/2016 15:52Very calm location for relaxation also has a good beach, little rocky for the kids but it's ok. The cost of the apartment is a little expensive compared to other hotels and also with what the hotel can offer. Overall in my point of view its too expensive for what it can offer, also restaurant is very expensive.
Paradise in Mexico
Edsantiagoon 21/05/2015 03:08Very spacious rooms, well they are apartments not rooms. We have a two bedroom apartment for the price of a hotel room. If you want to be relaxed this is the place. No traffic, no noise only the sea breeze. Staff very friendly, honest, and helpful. The trip From Campeche Airport is about one hour for around $60USD.
Great Surprise
Lgarza2014on 07/01/2015 05:03Never been in Champoton or Campeche before and it truly surprised us. Everything was great, the food, the view, the service, the beach. Aak Bal is beautiful, is a must in Campeche. We are looking forward to return soon!!!
Staying at Aak-Bal
gentlebreezeson 20/12/2014 21:47Resort was beautiful Getting there BAD! We didn't have time in Mexico City to change dollars to pesos, they take no dollars in Campeche! Not for refreshments, gas, nothing!! 3-4 people at resort spook any English, we got to store ( no dollars!), then to bank. Food at resort very expensive!, we cooked in room most days. Potential for this place is great, but right now, Americans need to know, nothing is in place. resort personnel very nice! We heard they will stop using RCI etc, only try to sell units ?? I think to rich Mexicans.
Nice quiet remote resort
TootsOkotoksAlbertaon 03/12/2014 21:03Finding the resort can be challenging because it not well signed especially in the resort area, it's say Cieba hotel.
Once you are here the staff is very attentive and friendly .
We had al lovely 1 bedroom suite on first floor, room 204, no ocean view just garden view.
If you have RCI timeshare there is only one bedroom that is ocean view, all the other RCI is on first floor.
Lovely quiet resort, with not many people staying here in November 27 - Dec 5.
The beach is sandy and if the water is calm there is snorkelling on the reef there.
Non water sport like kayak are expensive 25usd a hour.
Restaurant seems reasonable priced, but did no eat there. Used our kitchen a lot.
Only thing that we didn't like, was when arrived to our room, there was no kitchen things, like utensils, plates, glasses, toaster, microwave, and blended. It took about a hour to get them, which they took from the room across from ours. They said our suite had just been done, so we were the first to use it. Also the Internet is spotty.
I would highly recommend to go to Campeche, it's a lovely city, with colourful buildings, walls around the some of the city and some dancing on Sunday. They are still doing construction around plaza, but should be done soon they say.
