Wonderful stay
Hjoerdis Son 17/05/2017 10:24What impressed us the most at the Aalernhüs was the friendliness of the staff and the fact that they make you feel at home. The rooms were nice, the Spa and pool area are super, and the food we ate was exquisite. Breakfast was a true treat! Quiet area, a bit off the beaten path but everything can be done on foot. We had a wonderful stay.
Great week-end in the Aalerhus
llagonne66on 03/05/2017 20:34We spend a week-end in a junior suite of the Aalernhus.
The suite was spacious (big room, big bathroom, dressing and big balcony).
You can find all what you expect from a five star hotel: spa, two pools, fitness room, bar, garden and restaurant. Buffet breakfast is excellent.
It is located between Bad and Dorf on a quiet street but, within 10 minutes, you can walk to the seafront.
Staff is friendly and efficient.

dankM1300LHon 23/04/2017 14:14What makes the Aalernhüs an unusual experience is that the staff meet you as people. They are not servants, but friends. They know when to ask if you need something and when to leave you alone. On top of that, the rooms are clean and modern, the spa well laid out (and you get to keep your swimming trunks on!!!!) and the food is so good and plentiful that the main risk is over-eating.
Great hotel, but a bit pricey
eoxaalon 31/07/2015 11:24Excellent hotel, great facilities and service, but somewhat pricey. TV in the room there was only one English language channel (sports), this could be better. Based on experience with other hotels you can do almost just as well for maybe 70- 80 % of the price.
great trip to a wonderful destination and hotel
Till Son 19/08/2014 08:40Me and the family stayed at the Allernhues for a good week and we were super happy. Most important the staff created a warm and cosy atmosphere making us feel like personal guests. The front office team is fantastic, the F&B team is super alert and the quality of the food is amazing. I spoke to the chef who stayed in the US for many years and I guess that is where he build his great meat and fish capabilities. We had a room to he park which was huge and with lots of storage room for all our luggage. The bathroom was new and offered lots of space for the three of us. We had a huge balcony and loved the view to the park. The breakfast was awesome, with lots of fresh fruit, cooked to order eggs, all sorts of juices, breakfast meat, marmalades and and and. We got a note every morning with suggestions of to dos for the day and an offer for the evening menu and special treatments in the SPA. We visited the beach a couple of times and it was truly amazing - 12 km long and 2 km wide it was the biggest we have ever seen. If we weren't at the beach we used the SPA and got different massages and cosmetic treatments - especially the cosmetic treatments have been the best we have ever experienced! The whole interior is brand-new and very nice. In the evenings you can spend hours in the lobby, either in a quite private corner or more connected to other guest in the bar area. We loved the bibliotheque with the public TV and our daughter loved the two pools. We will be back for sure! Thanks to the entire team and the GM and his dog "Schrödi" for the great hospitality.
