baerlauchon 23/08/2017 10:42Probably the cheapest hostel in all of Hamburg and pretty much what you expect. The hostel is located right next to the Reeperbahn, an adult "entertainment" strip and it can get quite loud at night. We paid 12 euro per night and person, which seems fair. Wouldn't recommend it to families.
All good - except burning hot shower!

The place was in general nice and clean and was great when all you need is a place to sleep and don't bother about fancy looking rooms (why would you want that anyway, it doesn't make you any happier). The fact that it was in the red light district (which I didn't realize when I booked) was not an issue - wasn't bothered by it and didn't feel unsafe.
The shower in the shared facilities did not have adjustment for hot/cold, only open and close. Took quite a while for hot water to come but when it became was so burning hot I couldn't stand under it. Had to use cold water still in the pipes from the 3 other showers!

Ivar Ron 15/08/2017 22:12I booked this before checking out TripAdvisor. And I had my doubts after reading all the comments. But I understand that all negative comments is from people that wants a hotell with 5 stars or something. This is a hostel with a friendly staff, good breakfest and okay rooms. We had clean towls everyday and have no complains at all. The bed was not that good but we where not here to sleep all day. This is a big city and we where here to explore and have fun. If you want high class A&O is not for you. If you just need a warm bed and a roof above your head. This is the place for you.
I've allready booked this for my next trip to Hamburg!
Efficient, easy and comfortable
Stevie Ton 29/06/2017 10:16We ended up staying here as we unable to stay in the hostel we had booked. We called the reception at midnight and were told is wasnt a problem. We were greeted by friendly staff at a 24hour reception. The room was clean and spacious. One word of advice is that this is the party zone of hamburg, so if you aren't going to be out all night, request a room at the back for minimal noise.
Sloping floor
Sarah Jon 20/06/2017 13:49Took a while to find this hotel as it's kind of round the back of some sex shops and other shops. Once inside is actually quite nice the reception although once you get up to the rooms well the corridors look like something out of a horror movie. Once inside the room i can only explain it has a wonky room the door itself was 6 inches off floor one side and flush on the other side. Bathroom was huge and clean and tidy. Beds uncomfortable but for the price can't complain too much I suppose. Well apart from boyfriend having to many german beers and falling on me in the night because of said sloping floor. Staff seemed nice enough although didn't really see them much as only stayed one night.
Beware this is in a very noisy, rowdy and well seedy part of Hamburg full of sex shops and brothels and strip clubs etc. Not somewhere i would recommend for people with young children.
