Our new Favorite

We stayed here for 2 nights this past week. The pool and fire pit area were so great and relaxing. Our room was right off the pool area with its own porch and chairs and table. The room was good sized along with the bathroom. Our only complaint was there was no place to put your stuff in the bathroom. It was big enough so shelves or a table could be put in there. And it would have been nice to have bath soap. I always bring my own hair products so no issues with not having those but I have not been at an inn or B&B that did not provide regular soap. The location was fabulous and we will definitely be back.

Just amazing......

Had a wonderful stay there recently. The room was spacious and comfortable and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful with regard to goings on in the area while we were there.

The place is very quaint and the location is great as we were able to walk everywhere from our room.

It is also nice to see the owner on site and to be able to have a conversation with him.

So Enjoyable and Relaxing

My husband and I had an amazingly relaxing time at Abalonia Inn. We enjoyed the warm pool while having a Sangria in the early evening after a day at the beach. The beach is a short walk from Abalonia Inn. You are right in the center of restaurants and shops. We parked our car and didn't get in it until we headed home.

In the evening after a dinner down the street, we sat by the fire pit and talked to some other guests of the inn. We had gone a few doors down the street for a specialty coffee to have while we sat. Another couple walked down for a special tea to have and the third couple had wine. Everyone sat by the fire and relaxed.

This is an old mansion house with a spotless new feeling inside. It has lots of comfortable charm and elegance.

A Beautiful Place To Stay in a "Beautiful Place By The Sea"!

STAYING AT THE ABALONIA INN FELT LIKE I WAS STAYING IN MY OWN LITTLE HOUSE OR APARTMENT, RATHER THAN IN A HOTEL, -- AND I FELT AS THOUGH I WAS A LOCAL OF OGUNQUIT, RATHER THAN JUST A VISITOR!!!! :-)))
I have visited other areas of Maine before, but this was my first visit to Ogunquit, and it was a wonderful stay! The bulk of the reason why was my choice to stay at the Abalonia Inn on Main Street. The staff are super helpful and accommodating, and their attention to detail and personal touches to the rooms, grounds, common areas, etc., are the reason that people choose to return to an establishment. Special shout-out to Joel (pronounced like Jo-Elle), the housekeeper/jack-of-all-trades guy at the Inn....his welcoming nature and positive spirit made a huge impact on me during my stay! A very pleasant surprise was running into Joel at a business on Main Street, where we recognized each other, and he was very warm and friendly, and even asked me "how my vacation was going?!" (Shout out to "La Pizzeria" on Main Street for their great pizza and friendly service!) The Inn is conveniently located on Main Street, within walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops, the beach, Marginal Way, and everything that I needed for a relaxing stay in this town. I wanted to escape to a place where I could easily walk to everything that I needed to, and there wasn't one instance that I felt that I needed a car or any type of transportation to get around this lovely area. The location and the ambience of the Abalonia is calm, peaceful, and relaxing, yet close to many exciting things to do during the day and evening. I felt safe walking everywhere here, and very safe at the Inn. I needed a peaceful few days away from everything in my life, and I knew that I didn't want a lot of interaction with others during this trip, so I was pleasantly surprised at how "anonymous" I could remain while staying here, since the owner/staff are very pleasant and not intrusive in any way,....but I also realized that if I needed their help with something, that they were readily available and friendly. This is a huge plus when deciding where to stay for a few days away. I love the fact that I had a small fridge in my room to keep snacks available, and the fact that the main kitchen in the Inn had everything that I could need during my stay: wine glasses (especially wine openers!), etc. that I could bring back to my room. I enjoyed having the free coffee and juice bar (with muffins) every morning that they provided in the main kitchen area, and especially enjoyed having them on my private porch! My private entrance and corner of the porch were an especially nice touch for me!!! On my last day in town, I had some time between my check-out at the Inn and my flight, and I wanted to spend one more day walking around Ogunquit. I didn't however, want to drag my suitcase with me all day, so I asked the owner, Jason, if I could keep my suitcase in the office until it was time to leave for my flight. He was more than accommodating to me, which greatly increased my experience at the Inn and allowed me to enjoy even more time in this wonderful town! :-)))

Charming, great location!

Stayed one night on my way through town on business, great rate during the week since it's not yet the busy summer season. Room 6, ground level with a king bed. Room was really nice, lots of character with wood beams in the ceiling, a mini fridge and a small but modern bathroom. Walking distance to the center of town with lots of shops and restaurants nearby which would be important during the traffic of summer, nice to be able to walk to town and not have to bother with driving. The bed was a little hard but not terrible, my only negative comment would be that curtains would have been nice to block out the light from the walkway lights coming through the blinds. It's an old house so expect to be able to hear other guests and creak g wood floors above you but that's part of the charm of an old house. Pool wasn't open yet but looked nice with chairs all around and nice to have a pool at a small inn. Overall a very cute place!
