Great staff but in desperate need of sound proofing

However, the space has terrible sound proofing - the trains nearby are really loud and you can hear everyone in the building. Bed was not very comfortable and the shower was super small, though it did have a good supply of hot water. Definitely not worth the cost and the room was disappointingly different from the ones used on the booking website.
Good location, bad breakfast
Tedi Ton 29/09/2015 07:26The hotel is quite close to the city center. You can reach the city center in 20 minutes by foot or 10 minutes by bus. We stayed in room number 3. It was always smelling like cigarettes although it was a non-smoking room. It is not a quiet place because the trains pass nearby and you can always hear them. Some neighbours always fought while we were there. The breakfast is always the same, everything is counted and nothing is fresh. You basically eat only sugar.
Comfortable, romantic, welcoming, stylish!
1001Sasha1001on 21/05/2015 16:21We stayed a night in the Abatjour by friend's recommendation and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean, stylish and comfortable. Paulo is a fab host, very helpful, top class plus a great smile and style. We will be staying there again for sure. Thanks a lot Paulo! Thanks a lot Abatjour! See you soon :)

Sony Pon 25/10/2014 20:27What can I say - Paolo the owner is a very generous and informative man who will do his very best to make your staff in Florence welcome. My family and I stayed at the hotel for four days in total and even went to lengths to accommodate our changes in holiday itinerary with extreme ease. The service was above what I would expect from many hotels and the best to date having travelled and stayed in Florence many times. There is a small deli few doors down the road to help with snacks and refreshments and fortunately the BEST gelateria "Medici" a stones throw away. I would highly recommend this place if you don't feel troubled by a short bus ride and wish to stay away from the touristic hustle and bustle of the city centre. I will definitely hope to stay here in the future as Paolo has made our trip worthwhile no matter the distance. Thank you for everything you helped us with at your hotel. Ciao!
Not a good experience
Italessiaon 24/10/2014 20:06The owner Paolo is very kind and helpful while the check-in. The location is very close to the city center but you hear continiously trains up your head. There are no restaurants in the neighborhood, only one chinese. I didn't appreciate the deco, it's very old! The coffee machine works only after 8am, if you have to go out before there is only tea. The kitchen in the appartment is not functional at all, you cannot cook. The last night, there was no internet at all. Don't check out the last minute, you will lose your time waiting the owner until 9.30. The price is relatively high.
