Fabulous retreat

We chose this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary celebration without the children.
The hotel provided excellent value for a reasonable price. The pool area is fantastic and the views all around, particularly from the breakfast terrace are amazing.
Only downside is the rooms are a little on the small side but comfortable.

Heavenly

What a great idea! Experience the beautiful architecture of a 12th. century monastery with the comfort of modern amenities. The view is stunning, the garden is serene, the pool is inviting, the foods for breakfast and dinner are delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I ranked this hotel one of the top hotels I have stayed in, certainly the most memorable one.

Just enjoy and relax

A secluded hilltop location with wonderful views.

Historic restored hilltop abbey from the 12th century with friendly English speaking staff, though almost all guests were French when we were there. Centrally located, yet quiet and out of the way location with an hour or so drive to Aix-en-Provence, Saint Remy, Gordes, Rousillon, Avignon, Arles and Les Baux en Provence.
We had a very nice 2nd floor room with very large terrace which had a table and chairs and two chaise lounges. Unfortunately weather in early May was cool and cloudy much of the time so we could not enjoy the lounges for long, nor the wonderful nearby pool area. Our unit had a large and very up-to-date bathroom.
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, however as we stayed there 3 nights and the limited (but very good) menu was partially repeated on night 3, we elected to eat elsewhere on the last night, but the dinners were close to Michelin star category.
Beautiful views from the rooms and grounds with nearly a 180 degree southern view of this portion of Provence with the Mediterranean in the far distance. The abbey overlooks a French airbase about 3 miles away and the first afternoon there we were treated to what must have been a practice airshow with military jets performing aerobatics over the field. The following two mornings there were practice parachute drops of at least 20 troops each. Overall a nice, quiet place.
