969jasonpon 25/05/2017 19:53Just returned from a 6 night stay at ABC b&b. We were met by the owner Carlo and given details about the room and our stay arrangements. He is a delightful gentleman who would do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The room we had was spacious with an external bathroom which was also spacious and equipped with everything you would want. Towels changed daily and we found the room to be clean. WiFi was very good from our room as was the breakfast. All you have to do is ask Carlo and he will do his best to accommodate you.
Location is good being so close to Bologna train station (5 mins max walk) and approx 20mins to the centre of Bologna. We came and went as we pleased as you have your own set of keys. It felt like your own apartment at times.
Also on one day it looked like it was going to rain. No problem Carlo had a supply of umbrellas which he gladly lent us.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and getting to know Carlo. If I come to Bologna again I will stay here.
Great Disappointment
mwlondon2015on 04/04/2017 15:21Visited this B&B in late March on route to skiing in Madona di Campiglio.Two reasons we chosen ABC, proximity to train station and breakfast prepared by apparently a man who tutors cooking.Picture gallery showed tasty looking plates of Parma ham, fluffy omelette fresh croissants and home baked cakes.
What a reality check!How someone who teach others how to cook can serve cold toast, look worm coffee and croissants in cellophane bag.
Forget about pictured meats and tasty looking eggs.None of that forthcoming.B&B is a part of private apartment on the third floor shared by the landlord.Slightly unusual.
Decor of the room very tired and so is the bathroom.There is some positive about the place.The landlord is the pleasant and welcoming man speaking some English and the place is clean.
On our departure lift was out of order so we had to carry our heavy luggage three floors down watched by smiling and welcoming man.At least the train station was 300 metres away,so the big plus for us.
High cost of living must have affected quality of the place, only big shame that the owner conveniently forgot to remove from the photo gallery beautiful images of plates of Parma Ham, omelettes and fresh croissants."Very convenient".

strategic location and great rooms
jmdwekon 08/10/2016 21:02I spent five nights at the ABC B&B and I enjoyed it very much. Carlo the host was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great, with plenty of choice, and the room was very comfortable and well kept, and it even had a bathroom en suite, which was a welcome surprise (most B&Bs I have stayed in have had shared ones). The location is good, as it is very near the station and a short walk away from the centre. It was also very reasonably priced, which was a plus. The one negative point would be that the wifi in my room was very weak at times. All in all, good value for money and great service.
Like staying with family
SarahDelPreteon 14/10/2014 21:26We stayed here after taking a cookery class with the B&B owner Carlo. The room was large, bright and clean with a comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. The little touches of having bathrobes, slippers and toiletries - made it feel like you were staying with family. Carlo was very accommodating and great company. The breakfast was also good, with plenty if choice and great coffee.

Edna Son 30/01/2013 21:53My daughter and I stayed at the ABC Bologna B&B, since we were taking the Bologna cooking class that is taught by Carlo and his sister, Gabriella. The B&B is perfectly located by the train station (not noisy) and close to town (easy walk). Carlo makes certain that you have everything you need for a nice stay. We had plenty of water, snacks and refreshments. The room we stayed in was large and had an ensuite. And, breakfast included a large buffet yogurt, cereals, breads, fruits, coffee, teas, juices and made-to-order eggs (I like a hot breakfast!). The last morning, my daughter requested Tiramisu for her breakfast... and Carlo delivered a beautiful delicious gift to us! It's alot like visiting family, but better.
