Amazing budget

Stayed here with my son, but rundown and old but the room is more than substantial and the service is perfect. The manager is extremely helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you have what you need. Quiet and close to shops and 10mins to city. Will stay here ahain. So cheap

Conveniently located motel

My husband and I made a short trip to Launceston to visit a cousin who resided at Youngtown. We arrived in the evening and hired a car at the airport . The Abel Tasman Motel was an easy drive from the airport.The room was clean and comfortable and quite spacious. Unfortunately the restaurant was not operational and the only place to get food was the BP garage. There was very little choice and it was quite expensive. The next day we found an IGA about a km down the road and a couple of kms north the suburb of Kings Meadows which has quite a large shopping centre. After our first night we were able to cope very well in this conveniently located motel

Great value for the money

We were visiting Launceston overnight, so thought this would be a good choice going on website pictures, and relatives recommendation, what we found was a neat and tidy site, easy to find ,plenty of room for car parking,the room was quite big enough nicely set out although there were a few cosmetic faults new operators have recently taken over and stated they were in the process of refurbishing the entire complex and planned to modernize the rooms to bring them up to date,bed was comfortable electric blanket worked ,room heater and tv ok ,shower brilliant toilet and vanity all standard and the staff were very obliging and friendly ,plenty of eateries and shopping 1 km away could not find anything comparable for the price per night

Closest hotel to the airport

We are catching a flight back home at 7am so this is the closest hotel we can find and it is just a 7min drive away. Surprise with the clean and cosy room that welcome us. The toilet light was spoilt but we are not fuzzy since we are only staying for few hotels. The reception close really early but will send you an email with instruction on what to do and leave the key in the box outside the reception. Quite a big room i would say and value for money. However there is no restaurant in the hotel so you can find food down the street about 20min walk away.

Terrible customer service - charged twice, no refund

Absolutely terrible, no one was at reception all day when we tried to check in, had to wait until night time to check in, the lady brought me the eftpos machine in the parking lot, then we got double charged for our room and have been trying to organise a refund for 2 months but they won't answer the phone or emails, no answering machine... do not stay here
