Pleasant dining room- above average Mexican food

On a recent visit we ate both here and at Carmelita's. The dining room here is more pleasant and spacious. The salsa at Carmelita's is a little fresher and more piquant, in our opinion. You won't go wrong at either place. The food is fresh and well prepared. The service is very friendly- good chili rellenos.

Looks like many of the locals know about this out of the way restaurant. We arrived about 8 p.m. and still had a short wait. The service is not as polished as in many other restaurants but our orders were taken and filled in a reasonable time. The food is all Mexican as you might have surmised. I ordered enchiladas and asked for medium hot but they were pretty mild for my pallet. Whole bill for 3 people was under $50.

You'll get good service here, especially if you're their last customer of the evening and they want to go home😄. They were pleasant and efficient, but the food was uninspired.

Disorganized wait staff with horrible service

We asked how long the wait - was told "I don't know", asked if they had ranch dressing - was told "I don't know, was completely ignored by server, we also noticed other tables with the same problem - no they were not busy at that time!!! I've had worst food, but not by much - even the margaritas were overpriced and not much to them. One huge reason I will NEVER go back is while we were waiting for a table, the waitress is Spanish was complaining to another server about a customer - I speak and understand fluent Spanish - not cool people!!!!

All I can say is th We've eaten here many times over the past few years, and it's always been mediocre, but this year it just wasn't good. The servers are delightful, though.
