We were traveling with family and stayed in Acqua for few nights. In general, the experience was great - we enjoyed the view from the balcony and the amenities. The condo was fully equipped and we didn't need nothing else to have a great stay there. Pool was not deep enough, but still great though. The only thing they should probably change are the rules - they are really too strict and too many! We felt like we are some prisoners at some times :) I recommend the place, great stay.

Great location with decent amenities

There are 38 residences in the building, many of which are rented out to tourists. The entrance of the building looks nice and the solid wood doors look rich. There are 2 elevators, one on each side of the building. The main elevator we used was small and required making 2 trips to get our luggage into the room. Upon arriving in our 2 bedroom unit, I was impressed at the size of the kitchen, which was very spacious and had all the appliance I would expect to see. The challenge with our particular unit was it was furnished with cheap patio quality furniture and the bedrooms had very little furnishings as well. Additionally there was no iron or ironing board although there was a washer and dryer in the unit. My biggest complaint was that the internet was terribly slow and was a shared connection with other tenants/visitors in the building. So we would frequently get kicked off the internet or not even be able to access it. What I did like about this property was the location. It is very close to "downtown" Jaco, with many bars, restaurants, shops and clubs within walking distance.

Stayed for 7 nights for Christmas Vacation with my family! The condo was so nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The condo was not directly in town but an easy walk or drive to the town center! Felt very safe, especially with the 24 hour security. Would 100% stay again on my next trip to CR!

I booked, almost last minute, for 6 nights through Airbnb. It made the entire difference! Wonderful location on the beach and everything is walkable. Guarded gate entrance.
I had a two bedroom condo with all the comforts of home.

Acqua is definitely a notch above the other beach rentals in Jaco. This condo building is primarily an owners only enclave for wealthy Tico families who keep this as a second home. Beautiful finishes include marble floors , deep jacuzzi bathtubs in the master bathroom, and elegant common areas. There is a well equipped exercise room , media/ social rooms and a gorgeous Bali inspired entrance with serene fountains, and bamboo roofing. The common areas , including the lush gardens are meticulously maintained with mangos, bananas, coconuts, ylang ylang and almond trees where scarlet macaws live. Each condo is individually owned, so furnishings can differ, but we rented 205 and it was all designer linens, artistic furnishings, and a kitchen equipped with everything from a juicer to a Foreman grill! There is a gas grill located in the covered poolside dining area where we enjoyed many a sunset and met owners. We golfed, biked, horse back rode on the beach and enjoyed on site Day Spa services at Acqua Spa. No car needed, we walked to town and sunset beach bars. Not your average beach rental Amazing.
