Clean but not convenient at all
Tina Jon 29/06/2017 18:24This hotel is outside of town and right next to the railroad tracks. If you are on the side of the hotel that is near the tracks the trains are very loud and distracting as is the traffic on the roadway. The hotel is clean, but the staff is not that friendly or accommodating to groups. While they had a nice outdoor patio area, with the loud trains passing by it was not an enjoyable place to spend any time.

cdwallon 29/06/2017 05:19This hotel is newer (no old world charm), outside the area of Luther sites (a 20 minute walk to Castle Church if you hurry) and right near railroad tracks which are very loud. The staff does not understand English very well and treated our tour group rather poorly. There is a bar but no restaurant though they do serve a breakfast buffet.

CDMG123on 02/09/2015 17:29So, if you're backpacking around, this is the perfect hotel. It's very close to the train station and close to all the historic sights that you came to Wittenberg to see. It is decently cheap, and it is very clean. The Wifi is good. The breakfast was among the best that I had at any hotel in Germany. It's not the Ritz, but this is a very solid place that I was very happy with.
Mediocre at best
Jordanleigh26on 07/07/2015 19:03The hotel itself is right outside of the main stretch of Wittenberg. Not terribly far, but about a 15 minute walk. The guests are mostly older and as a young American group we were treated rudely and told we must be quiet after 8pm. The rooms are okay, single beds and a decent sized bathroom. No wifi in the rooms though, only the lobby. Basically, it's what you would expect for the 9th out of 13th hotel in a city.

Britta Mon 02/11/2014 08:28We very much enjoyed our stay here! The staff was very friendly, accommodating and patient with us not being German speakers. The room was just enough for a weekend, with comfy beds and a good shower. We were on the railroad side, but didn't notice because the room was well insulated and minimal noise came through. They have a fantastic breakfast spread each morning and the hotel is equidistant from the city center and the train station. My advice: choose to stay here in Wittenberg!
