Avoid if you can
Igor Fon 14/08/2017 11:03The property needs some serious renovation. It looks like it wasn't touched for 2 decades. The surrounding isn't maintained at all. No lights on the very steep path to the pavilions. Depending on the pavilion location one has between 8 and 15-20 minutes to the beach. It's really hard to walk up and down 2 or 3 times a day. We had a sea view but it was nothing special partially blocked by the trees. The rooms looked really bad. Very old furniture, bugs and spiders in every corner, behind the nightstand, on the balcony, buzzing mosquitoes, dirty curtains, mosquito blood stains on the walls and seeling, no air-condition, no fridge. Although it was a 2 star hotel, I have seen others in much better condition. The food was nothing to look forward to, prepared with only the cheapest ingredients. Not much to choose from, bad deserts, no free drink for dinner (they are expensive if you want too buy one) and the personal at the restorant was extremely indifferent and mean talking behind guests in front of other guests... except for one older man. He was really friendly and welcoming . The beach wasn't much. I have seen better. If you can, book something else.
soviet era style! Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!
TWPF100on 07/08/2017 12:40We booked here simply to break up our journey along the coast. we picked Ad Turres because it had a pool.
On first appearances the main hotel building seemed ok but that was deceiving.
The lobby/reception is in serious need of renovation. One of the arm chairs I sat on had only three sound legs the fourth was just about to break off!!
Our room was not in the main building but in one of their many separate buildings they call "pavilions". Each of these four/five story buildings are very badly maintained. the paint work and the large window shutters are in a very bad state.
On entry the late in the afternoon there were large bundles of dirty bed linen and towels and they were still there the very next morning.
Our room was a basic room but was again in need of up dating or at least a fresh coat of paint.
There was also no air-con in our room even though it was listed as one of the facilities on Booking.com and a main reason for us selecting this hotel. I guess that the air-con is only in the main hotel building.
Also the wifi is only available in the main reception which also is a poor show in this day as even the cheapest of motels offer it throughout.
Now the biggest issue I guess is the worst case of lack of interest in their guests is the breakfast room.
This was like a poorly run refugee camp!
It was rows of tables in a factory canteen style with large crowds milling around trying to get food and drinks.
The biggest problem was that there was only one coffee machine and one juice machine which led to long lines of guests waiting to fill up. Also this station was inside the entrance which made it difficult to get in or out.
one simple solution would be for another machine on the opposite side of the room.
I am sure they could afford to invest in one extra machine each for coffee and juice but that would mean they actually may care for their guests comfort!
Over all this hotel should be ashamed that they take peoples money for such a poor service!
Very poor Hotel
Bruno Non 30/07/2017 09:20I have been in this hotel almost obligated as my first Booking.com as cancel my first booking, I don't know why, but because we were to meet friends we needed to choose something. Ok so were we go: hotel kind of retro style and no maintenance at all, almost like it stopped in time, no air conditioner in Crikvenica were temperatures can reach 30-35 degrees Celsius, don't book the superior room it doesn't have nothing superior apart of the view that is the only thing good in this hotel, superior in this term means to climb a huge stair way to the room(because there are no lifts and no concierge to help, so try not to bring heavy luggage, breakfast is horrendous and the staff as well, apart of the reception they are kind and helpful but that's it once you come in you will regret it
Sorry to say
dseeker82on 08/09/2016 23:57The hotel is not in a good shape. The rooms are terrible, also the maintenance of the whole area was left behind. Seems like from opening in 1967 nothing has been done.
The food was nothing special, pretty same every day but tasty. If you are looking for cheap hotel and you are not very picky than this is OK, otherwise pay more and get at least 3 star hotel.
Ad Turres
Lenka2007on 04/09/2016 22:17The hotel consists of the main building and some smaller buildings placed in beautiful forest. The buildings are furnished in very simple way, there is no fridge or tv. The reception looks like from communist regime, but the people are nice and friendly. The food at the restaurant was very good and tasty. The inly disadvantage is that the sea is quite far and on your way back to the hotel, you must climb a steep hill. Butoverall I was satisfied and happy there.
