Another very enjoyable stay at Adair

Adair is our home base when we go hike the White Mountains. The rooms are all comfortable (we have stayed in most of them) and well appointed. Changes for the better have been made since the recent ownership change. Breakfasts are as good as ever and the signature pop overs are still served piping hot! We had dinner on Sunday on arrival and food was great and plentiful. And Adair counts a very nice bar and a huge rec room with TV and pool table in the basement. Cindy and Tom uphold the Adair hospitality tradition very well.

My sister recently held her wedding at the Adair Inn and even though it was the coldest day of the year, it was warm and cozy inside. First off, the attentiveness of the staff and the Inn Keepers were amazing....if you wanted something, they would try and make it happen. The food was incredible - I had eaten at the dining room prior and remember being impressed...and even am still. The rooms fit character of the Inn and giving it a turn of the century charm. We stayed in the Huntington Room - dark room with a fireplace and probably my best night sleep ever. If you find yourselves there on a cold weekend or night, there is a bar and a downstairs that has a piano, pool table, and sitting areas for games. Overall, was a great weekend stay! It's close to all the mountains so for skiers it is great. I'm more of a summer activity person and would love to go back when it's warmer and explore the grounds more.

First it is worth noting that the Bretton Woods area is very limited in terms of dining options and this is a key point that the Adair Country Inn has decided to address by having a restaurant (they could have so easily gone with just a B&B approach) A pretty bold and very impressive step to take and they have done a fantastic job in the process as the food is exceptional. Back to the Inn itself, from the minute you approach on the long driveway there is a sense of peace and calm. The rooms all have names and their own character. Our room was extremely comfortable, very clean and quiet. There is a nice cozy bar on the main level, a great room in the basement (the granite room) to enjoy a drink and play pool, chill and watch TV, play one of countless board games or just relax and chat with other guests.
While we were having dinner it became clear that three of the other tables had stayed there before and were recognized by the staff. That's a pretty good sign right there. Bottom line, if you are looking for a place to stay with character, great rooms, fantastic food, a bar and great hosts, this is it. We will be back!

went for the Valentines day special. A four course dinner with a glass of champagne. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the duck with sweet potatoes and I had Salmon stuffed with boursin cheese and garlic mashed potatoes. We both had the soup and salad. The food was incredibly delicious. The astmosphere is very tranquil, quaint and beautiful. The staff are all very friendly. I would highly recommend eating here anytime you are in the area. I always cook from scratch so it is always hard for me to find food that taste good. I always find something lacks flavor, is not cooked properly or just not good. But this food was exceptional. The building was absolutely beautiful, holding its original character. The grounds were very spacious and beautiful as well.

Stayed at Adair for a winter weekend away for my husband's birthday. It was beautiful. The grounds, even snow covered were beautiful. The room was cozy and comfortable. Loved the country decor and fireplace.

The staff was so helpful and friendly. I spoke to Cindy on the phone several times. She went out of her way to make sure everything worked out as planned.

The food was amazing. I will definitely stay there again. Maybe we will try a summer visit this time.
