Charming place to stay in Florence

This Bed and Breakfast is a nice place to stay. It is very close to the Duomo and other local attractions. The hostess, Graza, is very friendly and helpful. One thing you need to know is there is no elevator. You have to walk up several flights of steps for access. Nice rooms with a good breakfast arrangement with a cafe nearby. Graza is wonderful to deal with. We were a group of 7 and we loved this B&B.

We stayed there on a tripple room and it had 3 Nice Clean beds with amazing antique ceiling that had drawings. It is very close to the DUMMO church and an Italian restaurant that makes thick delicious pasta ... ask the owners of Adelaide they will guide you. They only do not have Elevator but it is very nice ... I cant wait to go back there again

This is a lovely property. located in the heart of Florence, and a stones throw from the Duomo..
When I arrived, there is a locked gate on the first landing. I pressed the intercom link and confirmed my details with the chambermaid who released the gate for me. I walked upstairs to the apartments and was warmly greeted. She told me that the owner, Grazia, would be arriving in around 10 minutes, and let me into my room (No.5). My room was extremely spacious, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was of a fair size and very clean.
Grazia arrived, a very pleasant and warm lady.. We went through the usual check-in procedures, city tax payment etc.. I was given a room key in the form of electronic card. A key for the gate, and a key for the front door. Also, was given breakfast card vouchers for a small café nearby, where you can have a coffee, croissant, and orange juice in the morning from 7amIts was 35 degrees in Florence, but the room air-con was superb, and allowed me a peaceful night's rest after walking miles around the city.
Only minor negative, was that the shower pressure was weak, and also the temperature fluctuated quite frequently. I spoke to Grazia about it, but there is nothing that can be done, as its to do with the entire building and its water supply.
A sachet of shower gel is supplied every day, however this is not sufficient except to wash your hair, so make sure you bring some with you.
Upon checking out, I was able to leave my case, and pick it up at an arranged time, which was excellent. Just lovely, warm people, and so helpful too..
I absolutely loved my stay there, and would stay again without hesitation!! Would recommend this property to anyone visiting Florence.

Reserved three rooms, when we arrived there were only two.

Reserved three rooms with confirmation four months in advance. Even though I emailed her two months before and was assured that rooms were reserved. When I arrived I was told that one of the rooms was not available. I was told they arranged a better room for the couple that was arriving a day later. The hotel that was provided was a little further away and was not better and they did not make up the room or provide clean towels.
The rooms at Adelaide House were nice and the location was great. The steps are a little difficult but worth it. We were given breakfast vouchers for the couple not staying with us, but I believe they rented the room to someone who was going to stay longer. That is the reason for the average rating. I would not rent direct with them, I would go through TripAdvisor or Booking.com.

Wow, wasn't expecting that! 20 steps from the duomo yet incredibly quiet and great value for money. Visited Florence with my wife and 6 month old baby and this was the perfect place to stay. Everything was nearby and the quality of accommodation was excellent. Great little bassinet was provided and the room was easily spacious enough for the three of us. Highly recommend this place if visiting!
