sa41iaon 26/08/2017 09:49Overworked, tired, Christmas break a long way off...... living only a few kilometres out of C.B.D. We booked into the Adelaide Rockford. Our room was spotless and modern. Very well positioned. We dined in the restaurant one evening and the other went into the city. Both wonderful. Breakfast was good, the staff were very obliging. Had a lovely day, went to the pictures, shopping. Had some quality time together. Checked out feeling 100% better. Thoroughly recommend.
Welll located city hotel
C Son 26/08/2017 01:36Hotel is well located to Adelaide city centre, approx. 1.5 kms from Adelaide Oval and St Peters Cathedral. Rooms are of a good size and also have two comfortable chairs and large TV screen. Bed was a king size bed.
The restaurant is an Asian/International inspired menu and the food is excellent. Wine list is small but adequate.
Both hotel and dining room staff are very friendly and helpful.
There is parking available either under the hotel or in the parking station opposite and you can access either parking area several times during a 24 hour period on the one ticket.
The only downside at the moment is that there is only one lift but renovations are well on the way on the second lift and this will ease congestion during busy periods.

Fi Son 12/08/2017 02:55Oh dear, breaks my heart to leave such a poor review. Yes, the staff are friendly (if not slightly unpolished) but that's ALL that this hotel has got on offer. I arrived in the evening and got into the very small lift and out on to my floor which was the seediest, darkest corridor I have walked down. Entering my room wasn't better, it smelt musty and old, the furnishings were terrible...it actually irritates me that the hotel charged the amount it did for a hotel room that really reminded me of a big brother to a Best Western (not part of the Accor chain !!!) You can see for yourself the photos attached, I don't think I need to say more about the room !! I looked into the restaurant for breakfast and decided to go without, it looked sparse and cheap.
I stayed here because of my Accor membership but next time will go back to my usual....one word "Yuck" !!! :(

Craig Ron 11/08/2017 22:28We were here for 3 nights while attending the Adelaide school of Business graduation. Staff were excellent, very helpful any way they could be. The restaurant staff was excellent also as was the food. My wife's garlic allergy was not a problem for the kitchen staff. We were able to walk to all functions and there is lots to see within walking distance.

waihekeon 10/08/2017 23:58The hotel is located in the entertainment area of Adelaide with many bars, restaurants, and clubs within walking distance. A location that some “sensitive” souls may struggle with, but liked it.
The hotel itself is a little tired and could do with a facelift but the friendly and helpful staff helps me overlook these shortcomings. I had a room at the back overlooking the Jam Factory which I had requested after reading about possible noise problems on Hindley Street front rooms on TA. A lucky choice because the first night the council were working all night re-surfacing the road.
Being on a longer trip it was great to find the hotel had a guest laundry a feature I think that all hotels should have.
I had an enjoyable dinner in the hotel restaurant. The buffet breakfast was of a reasonable hotel standard.
All in all I enjoyed staying here and would recommend The Adelaide Rockford for visitors who want to be in the heart of things.
