John Kon 24/08/2017 23:03Really nice stay at this B&B. Owners couldn't do enough to help and were very welcoming. Room was lovely and clean and beds very comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this if you're on a budget and would definitely stay there again.
A bit dated...
Mit485on 08/08/2017 16:37The steps outside were a bit of a trip hazard, surprised nobody has fallen down them yet as they move when you walk down on them.
A little bit of drama when a deaf guest burnt some toast, set off the alarm and nobody even seemed aware of it. Took ages for it to go off!
Breakfast was spot on, giving you a choice of what you wanted, hot and cold.
Bed comfortable, shower a bit temperamental. Plenty of space in the room we was in.
If the Adelphi was done up a little bit it could be a lovely place to stay.

Good Budget Hotel
RJH29on 03/08/2017 19:45Centrally located for Douglas attractions. Very helpful and cheerful staff and hotel well cleaned and all equipment in my room in good working order. Room was small and basic, but comfortable and good value for the price.

The Adelphi is at the top of a steep hotel, so if you are planning on walking just be aware of this.
We used a car during our stay and had no problems with parking near the hotel, however that could have been down to luck as everything in the area requires a parking disc (you are given them for free at the ferry terminal or airport).
The hotel and the rooms were very clean and the beds were made daily which was a pleasant surprise.
Breakfast is part self service with the hosts offering a cooked breakfast, which is all made fresh.
The only downsides were very small things, like the tiles on the front steps up to the hotel were a little loose, which could have caused an accident - but is something which can be easily fixed.
No issues in the evening, the area was quite with no noise from other guests.
There is a shop and a couple of take aways within five minutes walk away.

Friendly family-run, nothing is too much trouble.
Good breakfast, plenty of tea/coffee etc.
Situated on quite a steep hill, but the No 25 bus runs up from Douglas bus station every hour and stops just opposite.
Would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
