Nefferzon 21/06/2017 21:08Stayed here for three nights with my partner with the shared bathroom option. The room was clean and exactly what we needed to rest our heads after a day of touring around. The a/c was a lifesaver during the hot summer!
I can't say enough good things about Lorenzo. As soon as I booked the hotel he emailed me right away to clarify that checkin was only during a certain time and that I needed to let him know when I planned to arrive. Unfortunately my plane was diverted coming into Florence and I missed the time I had promised. He was aware of the diverted flight and since my boyfriend arrived earlier than me we settled the bill the next morning. If you come late at night he can provide you the code to get in the building just make sure you reply to his email!!!
The location is fabulous. A five minute walk to the duomo with restaurants and cafes everywhere. You are right next to the leather market and farmers market which are worth while visiting as well!
Good stay, great location, affordable price
NHB66on 20/05/2017 21:32This place worked out perfectly - it's within walking distance from the main train station, the tour buses, the main attractions and surrounded by great eating establishments. The Mercato Centrale is one block up the road, with a great food court on the first floor. The rooms at Casa Billi are basic and very clean, and sharing a bathroom is not a big issue, especially since it is right across the hall and it appears that only a few people share it, not the whole place. Wifi works great, and owner is dedicated and kind. Definitely coming back here next time!
Great location, good value
gbclassixon 30/04/2017 10:55This is probably the favourite location for a stay in Florence. It is a short walk from Santa Maria Novella station in a slightly Bohemian street that offers a choice of bars (including a Brew Dog pub!), trattorias, pizzerias and mini-markets. It is about 200m from the Mercato Centrale, where you must go for the brilliant food, drink and atmosphere. The Medici Chapel is at the end of the street and from there it's an easy walk to the Duomo, etc. The rooms are basic, with wi-fi, tv and air-conditioning but your host, Lorenzo, can't do enough to help make your stay successful and rewarding. He will not only give advice on Florence (food, drink, visits) but will organise for you anything you want. Excellent value considering you are in the heart of such a tourist-oriented city.

Lorenzo was friendly- you're able to keep your luggage at the hotel after you check in which is helpful
Wifi not existent spotty at times
Despite being very noisy outdoors the room was very quiet and was able to get a good nights rest

Bensmonkey1234on 18/09/2016 10:28I was only here for three nights with my partner for a wedding,Apon arrival of casa billi which looks really nice from the outside,once you enter the building,you then make your way to a flight of stairs,from which casa billi is on the second,once entering casa billi,your then meet by the polite Italian lorenzo,he gives you all the info you could need in the best possible English he can,the rooms are well equipped and we're good enough for me n my partner to stay in.
