Lovely
619seanon 12/05/2017 10:29Lovely stay in the pratinn for what is now our 2nd trip to Rome.
Everything as described with clean and comfortable room and breakfast excellent with a lovely terrace to enjoy.
Central location with short walk to St Peters Square and the Vatican.
Only bug bear would be communications we asked about payment and were told card payment accepted in writing. Then found cash only.
However, one of those places you need to do and go. This would be one of those places I don't think you would complain about if you were to stay here
Quirky little converted flat
Charlotte Won 09/05/2017 10:19When we first pulled up to this B&B in our taxi even the taxi driver got out with us to check it was the right place! It is a converted flat on the first floor with lift access if required.
The B&B is very close to the Vatican side of the city and has easy access by bus to other attractions such as the Colosseum.
The bed was comfortable and the room was dark and fairly quiet at night time. Shower was good and towels were provided. The room was very clean but the decor was very green! Being in a flat meant little to no natural light.
Breakfast was a help yourself type with a few packaged items. Enough to keep you going till lunch if needed.
We stayed for 3 nights which was enough for us. Cynthia could not do enough for us she called us a taxi to the airport on leaving and also printed out one of our pre bought vouchers when we had brought the wrong one!
Excellent value for money / Excellent Location
jcaro64on 11/04/2017 22:08Pros: The architecture of the building. The setting/location of the apartment. The staff were all amazing - friendly, welcoming.
Cons: Nothing - It does exactly what is says on the tin !
Location: Central location. Vatican, Vatican museum & Sistine chapel - 5/10 minutes walk. We walked to all the sites from the Pratinn.
Pratinn Vatican is a real authentic Italian apartment which has been converted into a bed and breakfast. We had the smaller room, which was ample to our needs. En - suite bathroom, comfortable bed, kettle and t.v. Lovely terrace area to eat breakfast or sit and have an evening drink. Breakfast ample - cereal, cold meats, croissants, cheese, fresh fruit and of course coffee and tea. Staff fantastic and very friendly nothing too much trouble, . (Practice your Italian, they would appreciate it). Central location. Vatican, Vatican museum & Sistine chapel - 5/10 minutes walk. We walked to all the sites from the Pratinn. If you are expecting 5 Star plus accommodation this is not for you. However, if you are looking for a homely comfortable place to stay I would recommend. When I am returning to Rome - I will be making arrangements to stay at the Pratinn.
Great place :)
Kasia0202on 06/09/2016 12:54If you want to feel the spirit of Roma choose this place. Really nice and very helpful owners. Very close to Vatican and another attractions of the Old Town. Safe area. We walked around till 1 a.m. with our teenage kids and ended on cosy terrace of this b&b. I felt like in the Almodovar movie in this beautiful flat. Very comfortable beds and nice badrooms. Good italian breakfast in the morning. Very nice stay!
Disappointing
AdamKeav217on 14/07/2016 19:54We were excited to start our Italy trip with a visit to Rome and choose the Pratinnvatican due to its location and great reviews. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay at the property due to no hot water. We were therefore put up in a serviced apartment. Not what we expected but we understand that these things happen. The apartment we were moved into was very basic but clean and in a very quiet area of Rome.
We didn't feel particularly safe walking in the neighborhood and were very disappointed with breakfast. However, the thing we were most disappointed with was the level of service. We had read good reviews about Cynthia, however saw little of her and had to wait a very long time for replys to our messages. We were angry that Cynthia did not keep us in the loop of what was happening, including if we would be able to move in to Prattican. We even had to wait for a response about how we should go about checking out. Her advice about booking the Colosseum at night tour was very poor and as a resultmeant we did not get to see it. A very disappointing start to our trip.
