Did the job!

After being rained out while camping we changed our plans and booked a night here. Hot showers and laundry facilities were the main thing we needed and the Noor fit the bill. After reading the other reviews it sounded like we may have a hard time finding it, and that was true. Coming in off of hwy 12 we took a left into Torrey. The hotel is to the right out of the main street of town, towards Capital Reef. Friendly staff, clean room. Nice night our of the rain and off the ground :)

Good Room

The room was large and adequate. Breakfast was much better than some places offer. The owners were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. All the rooms have great views of surrounding hills. It was close to Capitol Reef. My one complaint was the ice maker never had any ice, no matter what time of day or night. And I think the new owners should inform customers with reservations that the name of the hotel has been changed. Since the motel is located far back from the main road behind a gas station and restaurant we had to ask directions twice to find it. I mean in such a small town...we couldn't find the place!

Rating Is Generous

While I would rate this at best as a 3, it was not a horrible experience, just like staying at a 70's hotel. This is a really old building and since it is one of the cheaper ones, you should expect to have school groups, loud bikers, etc staying near you....as we did.

The place is rather dark at night and a little hard to find as they are/were changing the hotel name and the signs were not changed yet. It is behind a gas station/convenience store. Easy to get to.

The breakfast was pretty lame but it got you something...fruit, drink, cereal. The front desk was helpful and friendly. Had no problems here with the hotel or other guests.

Good rooms, great location

Stayed at the Noor hotel on a recent trip Capital Reef NP. Great location in that it is only 10 miles from NP and has a gas station in front and multiple restaurants near by. Great sunset from right outside the door. Room was clean and comfortable.

Great spot for visiting Capitol Reef

Even though our first reservation was not recorded because former owners sold the property, the new owner reserved our room again and all was well. Our room was just as expected since we had stayed there before, with one exception. Someone had pulled down very hard on our shower rod and it was hanging too low causing the curtain not to cover both ends. Housekeeping should have reported this to management so it could be fixed. Other than that, all was fine. Breakfast was much better than it was 2 years ago having many more selections. There was also a group of students from Poland who were working on a type of "Mars Rover" that they practiced using in the nearby desert. I enjoyed talking with them and talking with the new owner about his restored antique car.
