What People are saying

Family staying in room 122 with natalie

Geoffrey82on 27/08/2017 19:24

Just came back from a week stay at this hotel with my wife and and my daughter Natalie.
When I first booked this hotel I was a little worried but as soon as we arrived and met some of the amazing staff it was all forgotten.

Yes the rooms are basic but we spent about 10 hours in the room so I wasn't looking for state of the art room

People do reserve sun beds but we never had trouble getting a sunbed and in the place we wanted

Gianni in the restaurant is amazing and the nicest most hard working person I have ever met

Only met dimitri once on last day but how this guy hasn't been snapped up by a 5 star hotel is beyond me the food was nice hot and very tasty and it's a joy not to have chips at lunch and evening meal every day and dimitri saw that we didn't.

It's a pity jet2 aren't doing this hotel( or so I read on here their not). Cos I will be looking to go to this hotel again

Many thanks to all the staff that worked there keep up the good work

Holiday from hell.

My daughter and son in law booked through on the beach holidays.
The hotel was over booked, they where told no rooms available.
They where sent to an annex across from the hotel, absolutely disgusting.
After many complaints nothing was done, there Holiday was ruined.
They felt unsafe, poor lighting no alarms filthy dingy rooms where staff lived.
I have put up photos. Total negligence from hotel and on the beach holidays,be very aware you have no representation.

Fantastic hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, met up with Gianni , Maitre Dee of the Restaurant, amazing array of various food at all meal times, met DMITRI the Head Chef and congratulations to him too on his amazing range of food, sunbeds available all day around the pool although someone said before there is a sign in the hotel saying no reserving the beds until 09-00am, there are normally plenty available if not move the towels off and move the sunbeds.rooms aee nice and cleaned well with towels replaced and beds made up daily.Nice beaches just along the road ( Smile beach is great with Dragon in charge, 2 sunbeds a brolly and a large bottle of water in an ice bucket €6, a great friendly area and nice people , go and meet the locals they are very pleasant.Would go back anytime 😀😁😂

Glad to be home!

Pro's:
Plentiful sunbed's around both pools. People do get up early to reserve premium spots around the pool, but we had no problem getting beds around 8:00am.

The non salt water pool was very nice. A good depth for children.

Wifi is adequate in reception area. Not so good in the room.

Location is good for the beach. Either just across the road or 1/2 mile walk to a better one.

Cons:
When we arrived at the hotel, part of our booking had been canceled. 8 people flew, but only 6 people had accommodation. My parents room was not on the mandate. The receptionist had our party waiting for over an hour (at midnight) before we eventually partially resolved the matter for the night. We made arrangements twice to meet with the Manager. On both occasions we were told he had unforeseen circumstances to deal with and did not attend. The issue was eventually resolve quite late the next day. Due to Jet2 not sending correct mandate. During our 10 day stay, neither the Manager or Rep bothered to follow up to check all was well, or even apologies.

The hotel is part refurbished. If you are unlucky enough to get one that is not refurbished try to get moved to a refurbished room. The hotel was full so they could not move us. If the light is illuminating your room number on your door, your room has been refurbished.
Our first night was spent with no air conditioning and the bathroom door handle detached from the door. Fixed the next day, but no apology.

Our courier, Jet2 is clearly not popular with the hotel. The Jet2 notice board is hidden away. We found it on our penultimate day. I understand Jet2 are dropping this hotel due to preferential treatment to other nationalities food wise and service.

The reception staff are rude. In fact during our 10 day holiday, I had 3 staff members tell me (during discussions of un-happineness with factors of the holiday) "it is not my job". I got the impression they were not happy in their work or simply did not like the English.

The hotel is mainly populated with Geman's. Very few English.
I understand no English will be visiting this hotel next year, so Germans were getting preferential treatment at the bars and by the activity team.

The drinks menu is not acceptable for a all inclusive holiday. This may not be a problem with some, but I like gin and tonic. Tonic is at extra charge. They think it is acceptable to serve gin and lemon!

The food, although plentiful, was not good. There were generally 2 fresh cooking stations, but you had to queue for an unacceptable time to be served.

There is no swim up bar. At best I would describe it as a pool seating area. This is false advertising! A swim up bar serves drinks. If you want to drink at the "swim up bar" you have to get out of the pool, go round to the bar, get a drink and take it to the "swim up bar". Please also be aware alcohol is not allowed at the "swim up bar".

The salt water pool is more salty than the sea! I personally had no problem with this, but it was too much for the children.

No filter coffee. It is on the all inc menu, but when i requested filter coffee, it was extra.

No feta cheese?! What was available was some sort of cream cheese. Really quite bland.

We were only issued 1 room card key. We asked for another but suddenly the receptionist did not understand English. The card key activated all electricity to the room, so they do not want residents keeping air conditioning running in unoccupied rooms. Please note, you can not charge devices in your room unless the card key is in it dock.

Summary:
A regretful holiday to forget. We made the best of it as it was a valued family holiday.

Family Holiday 6th to 13th August.

Just returned from the Aphrodite Beach Club having spent a week in the sun with my husband and two daughters. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week. The pools were large and well kept some people did reserve the sun beds early however we have no trouble in finding some whatever the time day.The rooms could be regarded as a little tired however they were cleaned every day and fresh towels supplied.I found all the staff most helpful and polite. The restaurant offered a good selection of tasty food at each sitting there was never an occasion when we did know what to eat.A special mention to the entertainment team and of course to Giannis the manager he was a friendly face at breakfast lunch and dinner providing information re the hotel ,area ,and of course the restaurant. He is the sort of character /personality who draws you back next year.We loved the bay opposite and the strip at the back of the hotel with shops and bars.
Overall we had a super holiday and would return.
