Perfect stay
kzbkon 28/08/2015 15:26Lovely home with rooms for rent. Just enough privacy, just enough contact with owner for local information. Near walls of central medieval town, great area for walking and shopping. Breakfast was delicious!
Not what I expected.
Loishkaon 18/04/2014 18:54The street it is on , I would say is almost dangerous- very narrow and cars going too fast and very close to one. The area around the street, however, is very nice - gorgeous park .. The B&B very dark when one enters and leaves the house and we could barely see the lock on the door. The towels in the bathroom were so old they were grey and rough. The light in the bathroom was full of dirt and the bedroom not properly dusted. I have to say after having chosen it on the glowing reviews I was rather taken aback. On the plus the room was decorated in an interesting eclectic style and the vista from the garden spectacular and there are several very good restaurants nearby. My rating on B&B would be less than average and better than poor.
If you are arriving by rail and have much luggage , a cab from the station cost approx. 12 Euros and going back cost us 20 Euros - have no idea why there was such a discrepancy.

Hot stay in Bergamo Alta
Paul Ton 28/07/2013 21:29Our hostess Ada could not have been more welcoming. On arrival we were shown where to park in the secure garage and then shown to our room. Airy and spacious with a ceiling fan, which was absolutely invaluable, and an ensuite bathroom with constant hot and cold water. The bed in our room had a firm mattress which I thought might be an issue but we quickly became accustomed to it. Ada advised us on the best restaurants to visit and what to see and do and was very knowledgeable about everything Bergamo. Take time to visit the even higher town. Great views and bars reward those who take the funicular to the top! Great location, clean and with daily maid service made this an excellent choice.

Agli Orti is centrally located located and very close to Citta Alta's bus stop with easy access to Bergamo's train station and airport. Yellow buses 1 and 1A stop there. Rooms in this pleasant B&B are very clean and we had a spacious apartment on the first floor with views of lower Bergamo. II was a pity we could not use the private garden as it was raining. The landlady is very welcoming and helpful. We definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bergamo. M Lanzon, San Gwann, Malta
Comfortable and nice
Enrico Don 15/03/2013 18:22We stayed just for 1 night just to experience the Citta' Alta. The place has got a very good position, with a private garden, and is served by public transport to/from Bergamo's airport with bus-stop located at just 2 minutes walking. Traffic on the road (just out the window) is noisy, but we didn't hear it so much. The place is fine, clean and confortable also for longer stays (possibility of cooking your own meals), even if it's not so well "technically" equipped: you can catch TV with difficulties, there was no trace of wi-fi and we had troubles with the heating system, as well, which really need to be revised, as we told to the owner (in fact we weren't even able to get warm even water in the morning...). The owner is really kind and helpful.
