Location is great
ettelbruckon 25/06/2017 08:03Good, clean hotel. Naturally rooms are rather small, but clever planning. Their lowest price does not include shampoo etc, but they sell that kind of stuff at reception hall.
Location is nice, walking distance to Asakusa and Ueno, Tawaramachi station just behind the corner.
Staff speaks perfect English and is very helpful and friendly.
We stayed four nights and when returning Tokyo, this is strong candidate also for next stay.
Great quiet area of Tokyo
Kathryna don 15/06/2017 15:59It's near everywhere but only accessible by subway so if you you're carrying tons of luggage you're better off with a cab. Place was not that hard to find, there's a nearby Family Mart and Yayoi restaurant that opens early and closes late. Walking distance to Sensoji Temple which is great since you can shop, eat, and sightsee in that area.
Rooms were indeed very small so again, avoid bringing your big luggage. Housekeeping kept the rooms clean. You have to pay for cable tv (they even had adult channels to my surprise). We didn't have time to watch tv since we were very tired from walking around. Wifi connection was good but not that fast. Reception was kind and competent. There are smoking rooms available as well. The hotel also has a few vendo machines inside with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages like coffee and milk tea.
Overall, I enjoyed our stay here. Quite a bit of a hassle if you don't have the patience or time to study their complex train system so if you're not up for the challenge just go for a hotel that's near a JR station.
Japan holiday
Almondcoffeeyumon 18/05/2017 23:36Stayed here as a stop over before heading to kyoto.room was on the small side but it was comfortable clean and in a great location with the Tarawachi train station 100 metres away. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Found a great coffee place if you need a coffee hit 5 mins away called febuary coffee. Would recommend this vicinity if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of tokyo but still close by.. also only a 10 minute walk to ueno which is amazing. Beautiful park & lake and great outdoor market streets ar the train station.. loved staying at Asakusa..
Best location
Amy Won 09/05/2017 23:28Stayed 6 nights at he beginning of a 3 week trip. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. Yes, the rooms are smaller than the standard western hotel room but I was out sight seeing each day so this did not bother me.
The best feature of this hotel is it's location. The hotel is situated in Asakusa approximately 20 metres from the metro station Ginza line. This was my first time in Japan and I found it easy and stress free to get to all of the tourist sights I planned to see.
There were a number of tourist attractions within walking distance and a great choice of restaurants and eateries. Two convenience stores only a few stores down from the hotel.
Room and Location were good
Yamoahon 08/05/2017 12:16Great Location close to Tawaramachi station which has good links for our sightseeing trips. Asakusa itself is a great area. if you come out of the Hotel and on the main road turn left towards Tawaramachi station, cross over and walk straight to asakusa station. Turn right (may mean crossing the road) and walk into a world of choice for food and gaming and sightseeing. It's not far here, but if you go a little further you can find a great view of skytree (go at when it's dark), walk by the river.
The hotel was clean and bright, and our room was very nice. They had a drinks vending machine on one of the floors and 7/11 and Family Mart very close by for emergency snacks and lunches.
The reason why we removed one star was because we felt the room was too small for our 5 night stay and the bathroom was a little dated in looks (but fully equipped and functional). Also we went to the restaurant for dinner (didn't have breakfast), it was nice and we enjoied the meal but they only had burgers and not much choice when we went and there was only us and other couple so it lacked atmosphere. So i would recommend going to Asakusa for more tranditional food with a great atmosphere.
Staff were very friendly and we enjoied our stay on the whole. The negatives were more our perference but you may find useful to know, we would still consider staying here again.
