Simply the best
Joris Bon 01/07/2017 00:17If you like small scale, personal treatment and top quality accommodation in Italy, this is the place to be. There is a nice swimming pool and a garden with seats and also the main terrace to sit and chill. A bit further away there is this marvellous private beach. The owner Luigi will show you personally how to get there.
There are rooms and appartments with a good kitchen. We stayed in an appartment and we cooked ourselves lunches and dinners every day. Alternatively you can use the restaurant with Giovanni as a perfect host. All staff is extremely nice and gives good service all the time. In the morning we looked out to the care and talks with Magdalena during breakfast.
In the end we realised we could stay here the whole summer and still be happy.
Prices are also gentle compared to other parts of the south. This was not the last time we visited La Casa di Botro for sure. We will come back!

AntonioFroioon 18/08/2016 15:51Great place, a small Gem in Calabria, food was just wonderful, we went for the house taste menu, and 2 bottles of white wine, everything was just cooked to perfection, even food for small kids was delicious.
Staff was gentle and very caring.
Chef came often to check if food was to our taste.
Great experience.
I will return next year for sure.
Wonderful stay
Fedupfoodon 14/07/2016 12:14We throughly enjoyed our time at Agriturismo La Casa Di Botro.
Luigi is an attentive host. His family and the rest of the staff go out if their way to ensure guests are well looked after.
We stayed in a lovely, spacious room the main farmhouse. There are courtyard rooms available as well.
The pool is excellent, hidden away behind the main property - and there is the added attraction of a private beach just a short drive away. Perfect as an alternative.
Agriturismo La Casa Di Botro is a short walk from Botricello, in truth not a particularly inviting town.
However, there is really no need to venture far. The restaurant at Casa Di Botro is excellent. We ate there every evening. Expect to pay 50-60 euro for dinner for 2, inc wine and an aperitif. Try a bottle of Nikn (10 euro) a locally sourced and a drier, darker option to most rose wine.
We have stayed in several similar properties across Italy, both on a a bed and breakfast basis and self-catering, but this is top of our list. We would have no hesitation in making a return visit. Ideal.
The perfect agriturismo

This is a truly excellent agriturismo and I have absolutely nothing to fault. Luigi and his staff were extremely friendly. The room we had was spacious and comfortable, with an excellent shower room. The restaurant was very good and breakfasts were some of the best we enjoyed on this holiday. The icing on the cake was access to the agriturismo's stretch of beach where we were the only visitors that day. Perfection!
In spite of the fact that the town of Botricello is not especially attractive, I would certainly return to La Casa di Botro if visiting Calabria again.
beautiful setting, surpassed by excellent food
mags35on 24/04/2016 19:29Having stayed here several years ago and now living nearby we are so, so fortunate to have this wonderful place on our doorstep.
Today,Sunday, we had lunch with friends. The six of us enjoyed every course. Too many to remember! However, we never leave feeling bloated or not able to move.
Top marks to our waiter who explained every course in detail and also to the wonderful chef.
I always say that although we now live 5 mins away it's where I would love to come for my holiday.
