An authentic Sardinian experience
ArcheoStabiaon 19/05/2015 09:20We were driving around the southwest of Sardinia with a map and no plans, when we found this place. We'd been looking for a place to stay and eat but there was nothing open around Guspini-Arbus-Fluminimaggiore, then, as if out of a fairy tale, we see this perfect little stone steps with a sign that reads 'aperti tutti i giorni pranzo e cena." We sit and are greeted by Marco, enjoy a lovely relaxing lunch, and discover from his girlfriend, Johanne, that the restaurant also has a nearby agriturismo. Perfect! The agriturismo is situated at the end of a country road, perfect for those who love star-gazing at night. It is family-run but seems as though all have been working in hospitality their entire lives. The room we stayed in was simply decorated, but clean and overlooked the west so we could see the sunset behind the trees. THis is the perfect place to experience the authenticity of Sardinia, where the roads have more sheep than cars, and where the people maintain a pure spirit. Have Marco give you a great history lesson on the ancient civilizations of the area, and head out in car to explore the nearby ruins and mining towns. If you need a break from the beach and tanning, treat yourself to 2-3 days in Arbus with this family.
Absolutely the best food ever!
Benit081on 30/07/2014 00:09We had a very warm welcome by the host Marco, he helped us with our luggage and showed us to our rooms. The rooms are clean, good sized and comfortable. The wifi is free but doesn't reach the rooms and is extremely slow but then again, if you want to go on the internet you might as well stay home :)
There's a small swimming pool in the back,of the building that may be a little tight if all guests decide to go for a swim at the same time :)
But the main reason to come to this agriturismo is the food. Marco's mother seems to be cooking all day long and man, that woman can cook!
We didn't have a single dish we didn't love and there's plenty of it to go around.
Dinner is at one big table (family style), which is a nice touch.
If we return to Sardinia, we will certainly stay here again. Keep up the good work!

La costa verde is amazing and the teem of the hotel (the family) are the best restauration teem that I've nerver seen. I don't have words in order to talk about the food, but i can say that i'm spanish and I profited the food from la Quercia like a child.
At la quercia is like at home, even better. Alla quercia é come a casa, anche meglio.

I was at la Quercia in July with some friends.
The place is simply amazing, accommodation very well organised and you can choose according to any kind of budget you have, from basic to super luxe.
The location perfect, in a nice area in the country side, in 20 minutes you are at piscinas, scivu, some of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia.
People who stay with you forever, in you heart once you meet them.
Marco, Marco´s father and mother, Johanne.
Staying at la Quercia was for me like staying at my place, even better.
Everywhere super clean, swimming pool at your disposal, a view on the hills which takes away yoru breath everytime you watch around.
An unbelievable breakfast with Marco´s mum handmade jams and biscuits, you get addicted and once you leave you would like Marco to establish a production of them in the place where you leave to go on eating them.
The evenings...cosy and such good food that minimum you get 3 kg per day but well it is worth.
Handmade pasta, ravioli, and I am veggie...never experienced such kind and good service not even in 5 stars hotel, and mostly because you feel love in everything you see, you touch and you hear.
Next year I am planning to be there for sure once again, new rooms with jacuzzi and fireplace and massage and beauty, i am sure is going to be excellent.
Looking forward. Marco keep going like this, and thank you for making Sardinia so special beside what is already so special of this island!
