Great Agriturismo in Tuscany!!!

The rooms here are beautiful, clean, quiet and the property is romantic, very well look after and a perfect place to relax after a busy day in Tuscany. The dinner at night is more than worth the price.

Great place to relax and discover Tuscany

We can recommend this hotel for quiteness seekers who like to discover small historical villages in the area. The place is easy to find, about 3 km from the highway A1. Staff is very friendly and professional. All is very clean and looked after. Breakfast is great, all one can desire with a fantastic view included. Any downsides? wifi is of poor quality and the sunbeds could be more comfy. Rest is worth to come back for. Nice pool by the way

Great place and hospitality

We stayed one night at the La Sovana and enjoyed every moment despite the rainy weather. Giuseppe the owner is a great host and that personally care of his guests. We spend a wonderful stay with lots of nice memories. The team in the kitchen invited us to watch how they prepared the dinner (Pici) and Giuseppe invited us to taste the meat (La Fiorentina Steak). The families produces wonderfull vines and olive oil! The rooms are top class and style for an agritourismo. We will come back for sure!

Second Time Around

We returned to La Sovana again this past July for an 8 day stay and it was every bit as good as our first time. The owners and staff are so welcoming and strive to make every guest feel as part of the family. We saw several returning guests from our first visit and had a lot of fun catching up on the past year. La Sovana is conveniently located just a short drive (maybe10 minutes) from the A1 exit (follow the signs to Sarteano) on SP478 and makes a great base for day trips by car to the small hill towns of this region of Tuscany (Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Cortona, Chiusi) as well as larger cities like Siena, Arezzo and Perugia. Breakfasts are excellent (included & all you can eat), with ample servings of breads & pastries, fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, eggs, cereal etc. Light lunches and full, home made gourmet dinners are available (if you wish) at a very reasonable charge, making it very convenient after a day on the road. An afternoon dip in the pool and cocktail are also a nice way to unwind from your touring. Rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. Mostly, you will come away with a feeling of complete satisfaction with La Sovana. We thank the Olivi family along with Fiorella, Mariana, Raquel and the entire staff for making our stay such a wonderful experience (again!) .

Wonderful, luxury, relaxing, quiet, friendly

We stayed for 1 week at La Sovana. From parking the car to leaving again 1 week later we had a wonderful time. The staff at La Sovana is lead by a top professional woman who takes part in the daily business, and has time to talk to the guests. We stayed in a superior apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, and terrace/garden, air-conditioned. I recommend this (no 34) if you want to cook your own food. A few technical problems with the apartment were quickly resolved. Attended the great welcome dinner, but besides that we organized our own food. The pool was nice and the pool area neat and tidy at all times, not crowded, and with a great view over the property wine fields and Tuscan hills. There is service at the pool, coffee, drinks etc. The entire staff, and the owners, were all very helpful and friendly, and worked hard to satisfy their guests, all from the gardener to housekeeping, to the management. Thank you La Sovana staff. We will be back.
