Mikie Ton 03/11/2015 17:23We stayed two nights in this great agriturismo and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The farmhouse is beautiful as is the Umbrian countryside. Our hosts, Marco and Gaia, went out of their way to see that we had a wonderful time. Gaia is a talented cook.and Marco is passionate about the quality of the olives and grapes he grows on the farm. The pool was an added bonus. Just a wonderfully relaxing experience. Didn't want to leave.
The owners made it a remarkabke experience.
retiredtraeleron 21/10/2015 16:00This was my first visit to an Agriturismo - located outside of Orvieto- what an incredible experience! The owners made it so much fun with their interactions. It is an old farmhouse located on a working farm - growing grapes and olives. The owners a husband and wife team were so interesting friendly, informative and she was a great cooked - the food was outstanding, as was the wine and olive oil.
Highlight of our Italy Adventure
Kathleen Son 04/07/2015 01:08We recently spent an entire week at Poggio della Volara and it was most definitely the highlight of our trip to Italy! Marco and Gaiva could not have been more gracious and their spacious property was beautiful and so inviting. We rented a car to take day trips to the regional historic hill towns and spent our evenings at the villa. The property was authentic but clean and incredibly well maintained. Gaiva's dinners were enchanting to our eyes and palate to say the least! The view from our apartment was stunning. Our teen age son especially enjoyed the sparkling pool and the friendly, playful resident dogs. Arrevederci! We will be back M and G!
Voucher issued by owner, worth 1000 EUR, denied!!!!
Katarina Kon 19/06/2015 14:58Hi, just wanted to share an experience I had with the owner of property Marco. I got a voucher from my friends as a wedding gift in August 2014, voucher had no expiry date, and Marco confirmed in email that we can use it in 2015.
In January I was trying to book a place in May, but he told me it was full, when we discussed the possible dates, since I told him I have an voucher, reply was that he is sorry but was valid only for 2014. And that there is nothing he can do about it. Since then he does not reply to emails or phone calls.
Voucher is worth 1 000 EUR.
Im trying to contact tourist associations in Italy if there is a way to get the money back.
So my experience is absolutely negative! and I am just hoping I will get the money back!
Two days in paradise
fearsmileon 11/06/2015 03:41This place is WONDERFUL! The setting is breathtaking, the facilities are top notch, the food outstanding, the owners and staff are like family with their guests. Marco and Gaiva are personable, helpful and cheerful. They're proud of their establishment, as well they should be. It is a working farm complete with chickens (no other livestock), and 2 wonderful dogs. We can't imagine a more delightful experience than we had here. We would come back in a minute if we had the opportunity. We think it is a must see and stay if you are in Umbria with some time to enjoy relaxation with views in all directions. In our 17 days in Italy, our 2 nights here were our favorite.
