Spotless!

We recently stayed here for a 10 night holiday with 2 kids age 12 & 9.

The apartments are spotless and a good base. Beds are fine and yes do have a firm mattress but not uncomfortable. Kitchen is adequate for self catering. We were on the first floor which do have bigger balconies.
The main issue we thought we would have was lack of entertainment but it worked for us as it meant we weren't being nagged by the kids to be around at certain times of the day to go to clubs, mini discos etc.
Staff helpful...we had an issue with noisy people above us who kept us awake at 4am and the matter was dealt with quickly.
There is a lifeguard at the pool and I've read on previous comments that he is on his phone and not looking after kids...all o would say is in 10 days we never saw him on his phone and he isn't a child minder!
The hotel is very clear about sunbeds and they do not unlock them until 9am. At the end of the day it's us who created the problem of literally running at 9am to grab as many as we can! The lifeguard is pretty strict though and will remove towels at 11am if no one returned to the beds. All we did was wait in reception area about 8.30am and queue/natter until 9am. People were silly though and running for beds but again that's us not the hotels fault.
No air conditioning we used the ceiling fan and desktop fan and it was fine.
English speaking tv in room (free) was good too as sometimes kids/hubby returned to room when it got too hot.
We looking to return next year as definitely the better end of 3 key apartments and so very clean.

The apartments are lovely and tidy. Big enough for our family of 4. The pool and the area surrounding it is cleaned throughly daily. Sunbed cushions €1.50 per day and we never had an umbrella. We were lucky enough to be on the ground floor so could walk out to the pool daily. This was really convenient with young children. Yes the queuing to obtain sun beds in a morning is ridiculous but I really don't know how the staff can stop it. If you are prepared to be up at 9am then you can get sun beds and leave your towels on until you are ready to come out. Beach is a 15 minute walk but it's lovely and reasonably quiet considering it was the school holidays. We are locally at Treasure Chinese near the hotel (yummy food and reasonably priced), an Italian called Little Italy near the harbour (which was lovely) and Stone grill further round Los Christanos where you cooked your own meat (highly recommended). All in all we can't fault the hotel. The room was cleaned 5 out of the 7 days. Everything worked and the kitchen was fine for making our own breakfast and lunches. Superdino supermarket is a short walk to get food in. The bar is overpriced but convenient for a drink or ice cream in the daytime. Would highly recommend this hotel. Don't be put off by the 3 star rating.

its been a good few years since we were last here. went this time with my husband, daughter and her husband and 4 of our granchildren aged from 6-16 and my 82 year old father in law. It did not disappoint. Comfy clean well kept rooms as usual. maid service 5 times a week though bins emptied every day. All staff are very friendly. Pool area great and love it that you cant get a sunbed till 9am though there is always a queue. Still same though some people get up early get 5 beds, put towels on,dont come back till mid afternoon but the Lifeguard was on it. If someone came down and couldnt get a bed he would go remove the towels and make sure everyone had a bed. You can also pay 1.50 euros for a mattress per bed which was worth it. Food was good and tasty at the pool bar. There is no kids entertainment on which was no problem as there is so much to do for kids in the surrounding area. They have a nice strip of bars just outside the front door across the road which has free WIFI in each one. WIFI in hotel is non existant. Bathrooms are equipped with towels, toilet rolls, soap etc and there is a decent hair dryer in them too. Apartments come with a decent fridge, kettle, microwave and 2 ringed electric hob. Main bedroom has a ceiling fan and a standard table fan in the living room. TV has BBC1 ITV Channel 4 and 5 and CBeebies. Large balcony with table and chairs and they all look over the pool. Booked trips through a company called Jesus Bookings found on the prom, even hired the car from them as cheapest for it all. Did the Jet Ski Safari which was amazing , 96 euros for 2 of you on the jet ski for 2 hours. Brill day out with lovely people.

Very good apartments. Very clean. Staff very friendly and polite. Pool is very good.
The only thing I found frustrating was people being allowed to save sunbeds each morning - their was several times that I saw people save a sunbed at the beginning of the day and not use it till late afternoon. We struggled twice getting sunbeds which is not good. However, this aside I would highly recommend this place.

Before we even walked through the doors my expectations were set high from the positive feedback and we were not disappointed as the Apartamentos Aguamar was a pleasure to stay at. The staff at the reception were very kind and were willing to help with anything and any of our troubles. Apart from the door card sometimes not working; the apartment was spotless with a huge open door balcony displaying a view of the pool and some of the beautiful mountains of Tenerife our apartment was also included with everything a family could need for a wonderful time away with: English television, and a bedroom fan, a very powerful shower with all temperatures and comfortable beds and chairs. However you must be wake up early to queue in line for your sun-beds around the pool as many are reserved for people to use throughout the day but for us that didn't serve and a major problem. Over all the Apartamentos Aguamar is a fantastic resort in Tenerife with a brilliant pool and apartments and is close by everything you could ever need. It is well worth the look!!
