Used while traveling
lewis pon 18/08/2017 04:45No Aircon and the work next door made it hard to sleep with the window open. The bathroom and shower was a long hallway walk away. Better than staying in a hostel though. Would recommend to stay here to travelers but not families as is it not the nicest of places.
Pay little expect little
Katie-Scarlett Hon 16/08/2017 02:20On a tight budget my boyfriend and I booked for 3 days. The staff were not very friendly. The room had a real stench to it. Breakfast is a box of donuts. The lift doesn't really work and having to queue for the one shower and toilet between many isn't great either. Location is fairly close to everything going on. So it's good if you're not going to be spending much time at the hotel or if you're on a really tight budget.
It should be closed by Authorities on grounds of Health and Safety
Anna Mon 11/08/2017 09:58We booked the Aida plaza for the price and location, and trust me we could have got more quality if we'd looked around more.Location wise,it is central, but you walk past a lot of unsavory characters during the day and feel uncomfortable in this part of Market St at night as it is dimly lit.Our room stank and there was no safety windows,so there's a five storey drop, worth bearing in mind if you are a family with young kids.
The continental breakfast was Donuts...served in the lobby at a table ,where many visitors just sat so you have serious hygiene issues too..strangers breathing all over the food.
The shared bathroom was a toilet ,with no wash hand basin to clean your hands after and the shower was just that in a tiny space, again with no basin or even enough space to get dressed considering you had to walk down a dirty corridor to your room.i was so appealed I didn't use it.We only used this hotel to sleep in,as it was the worst ever.In IRELAND it would be closed by authorities years ago..
Dirty, old, stinks...
Andreja kon 01/08/2017 20:10We spend almost a week there. And we were sorry..it was horrible. The hotel had such a bad smell. The room wasn't clean. I bet it hadn't been vacuumed in years! The smell in the room is disgusting. The glass on the windows is so thin you can almost hear what people are talking about in the street (we were on the 6th floor). To call the elevator, you need to keep pressing the button like an idiot...it took 10minutes to get to the lobby..we would've walked but we had our luggage with us....
For breakfast they have a small table in the lobby and they put on a box of donuts every morning... like seriously?? That's breakfast?? ohh and every time you leave the hotel you HAVE to leave the key at the desk...whatever...
When you step out of the hotel, people are peeing on the fasade of the hotel and doing drugs...just ewwww....so it's a very bad neighborhood...
The staff is okay..but the whole picture was pretty bad. We would NOT suggest you this hotel.
Very nice friendly hotel close to city center
MatzelMunichon 01/08/2017 13:48This old, renovated hotel is charming; staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean und functional, good bed. On Market Street, just few blocks from the very center of town. Good coffee round the clock, morning donuts/croissants. Very recommendable, reasonably prized compared to other hotels in this expensive city.
