Worst customer service I have had a very long time.
worldtravel218on 23/08/2017 06:48This property appears to prey on their government business and . I will never stay at AKA after my recent interaction with all levels of the property up to the General Manager. As a government employee, I was going to DC for a temporary duty. As it was 30 days, a lease was required. When I cancelled the reservation due to change of orders the property charged me in full for 15 days, no negotiation, no discussion - just threat of legal action if I disputed it. Worst customer service I have had in 30 years of travel. Worst.

Location, Luxury, Comfort, Convenience
Steve Jon 17/08/2017 23:46Staying at AKA White House right now. Perfect location, just around the corner from the White House. Quiet. Clean. Comfortable. Spacious 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment with washer/dryer, dining table, couch, easy chair, 2 TVs, cable, wifi, full fridge & full stove, stocked kitchen - perfect for 1 or 2 people. A single person could live here full time. They have daily maid service. And a gym. The rooftop terrace is not good for anything other than smokers but who cares I'm not a smoker!
As a point of reference, the Hampton Inn is across the street. Rooms there are probably not as big (@ AKA you get an apartment with W/D in room). There's more value at AKA than Hampton Inn.
Check in was fast and easy. Highly recommend, will stay here again.
THE go-to spot in DC
Gary Con 10/08/2017 16:56What a find! This is not a hotel room - it's an apartment with all of the ammenities. The staff is great (thank you to Frisia for organizing flowers for my wife's birthday) and the location is PRIME.
One-and-a-half blocks from Farragut stop on the Metro. About the same to the White House. Bus stops, restaurants, etc... and all of DC's sights are, literally, just outside the door.
We cannot wait to head back!

The reception staff were helpful and friendly and the accommodation is excellent with a well appointed kitchen space and living room area. There is even a small but well equipped gym on the ground floor.
Perfect for a stay in this city and highly recommended.
