A nice stay

This modern and clean hotel offers a discrete nice location in a park, a large free parking, a 24h reception, a very nice sauna and wellness (at a small fee) and a very good complimentary breakfast buffet.
The Wifi was ok, a bit complicated to operate but fully working when properly cranked up.
Not at a walking distance from the city centre, but close to the military museum and the northern part of Dresden. Would surely recommend.

Ian Hon 06/09/2016 15:15After being double booked at another hotel in Dresden and not being best pleased we arrived at the Akademiehotel which had been booked due to the mess up by the other hotel.On our arrival the reception staff could not be more helpful and polite and understood that we had been messed around. Unfortunately they had not been told there were three of us and the room was only set up for two people.This was no problem for them and resolved the issue with no fuss.For the problem they gave us courtesy breakfast which was a nice gesture.The room was clean,spacious.and the bed was comfortable.We only stopped for one night as we were passing through.There is plenty of parking so no need to worry ( I do as we always have a roofbox when travelling).When passing next year I will now use the Akademiehotel

Al Con 03/11/2015 07:01At this hotel we have seen very clean rooms and a balanced breakfast . The Wifi login procedure it's quite annoying but after that you have a quite good speed connection . The personal was very serious , no smile at all, perhaps the local coldness , who knows . Parking place possibility a lot . Very quiet round and new furniture in the rooms. If you want to visit Dresden, well is not so close, but with local transport there should be no problem at all. I recommend this Hotel.

Tom Ron 16/09/2015 09:27Room was clean, but not very comfortable. Breakfast was typical fare of hot & cold items and beverages.
Most annoying to us was that after following the hotels multistep process of seeking internet access, the final step on the webpage requires the entry of a mobile phone number to be sent an SMS message text with access codes to finalize the internet connection. Our US-based cell phone doesn't have access in Europe without WiFi - they won't send me an Apple iMessage or allow use of another mobile phone, so we were denied access to this important travel resource.
Ok hotel but far from center
majadleron 11/08/2015 11:10My family and I had one nights staying. The hotel is situated apx 8 km from center of Dresden but it's surroundings are green and spacious. You can go to Dresden City by bus near by or by tram. The breakfast buffet was luxury all over. Anything you could ever wish for. Parking for free - a rareness much appreciated.
As always in Germany the hotel is very organized but we did not experience extra service.
