Nice place with great food and service

We made reservations for an apartment with half pension.
The apartment exists out of a kitchenette, a two bed bedroom, a living room with sofa bed, large terrasse , a loo separated and a bathroom with spacious shower.
The rooms and hence the infrastructure begins to wear a bit out ( room curtains with some holes), but the cleanliness is meticulous! Everywhere! From the reception to restaurant to poolarea to rooms.
Congratulations to the housekeeping as not an easy job to do.
We had breakfast and dinner every day in the restaurant of the hotel. Everything that a perfect breakfast buffet needs was present. Large choice of juices, bread, cheese, cereals, fresh fruits,..... and every morning welcomed by the incredibly friendly, helpful and professional staff.
Who makes sure your coffee is made in an instant and served before you get back from the buffet.
The evening dinner existed of 5 courses. An entry, a soup, salad bar, a main course ( choice out of 3 dishes - veggie, fish or meat) , cheese ( if you like) and dessert.
Every dish of every evening during 6 evenings was a delight to eat!
Never the same thing, always fresh and prepared and spiced as it should be.
Bravo to the kitchen crew!
What could be better in this resort? Three things:
1) the guests of the camping should have their own recreation space ( pool, spa,...). As hotel guests ( who pay more for their stay) should have a better service around the pool and spa area.
2) the existing pool area needs urgently renovation
3) a better and extended playroom for teenagers which is nearer to the main building.
There is a pingpong table in a playroom next to the pool. Young and old like to play a game of billiard or other, before or after dinner. A games room or entertainment room would be a great plus for this resort.
It says "aktiv" resort but you need to go out and away to find your own " aktiv" activity.

Overall nice hotel with great service and kitchen crew, and very good housekeeping.
Reception was friendly and professional, nothing more, nothing less.

Great Stay & Quality Hotel

We have stayed here 4 times before but not for 7 years. We had a lovely weeks ski holiday here with friends & family, we had an apartment with a double bedroom & a fold out bed settee for our 17 year old daughter. Plenty of room for us all and staff always helpful with any requests we had. Our only small gripe this time was the evening meals which seemed to always have nuts in some form in starters, main courses & even in desserts resulting in us having to have 3 nights of ice cream sundaes (vanilla & strawberry). We also had to miss out on some of the starters as there wasn't a choice. I haven't got an allergy but my daughter & I just don't like them, we did have a word with the Reception and they said they would not use nuts for the last couple of nights but next night they were back again - glad I am not allergic!
Other than that it was excellent.

Great family resort

This resort caters to families looking for winter sport activities. Breakfast has a great spread, dinner menus are a bit on the "ambitious" side but good. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The kids club is very popular with all kids there. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool and sauna /steambath area are nice too. Location directly at the gondola to ascend the Zugspitze is great but it is a it outside the main village. No issue if you have your car with you.

The room we stayed in had a large common balcony and was really well appointed, new and clean. The breakfasts were superb and the view from the hotel of Zuspitze is amazing. Took the Z Card option and we were able to do lots of activities including going in the cablecar to the Zugspitze summit (which is really in the carpark of the hotel!) although we did have to pay 44 euro (family of 4) for an additional trip on to the glacier from the Austrian side but it was worth it to play in the snow in the middle of August. The hotel is really nice, the bar is a little difficult to get served in but OK, The pool is small on the outside, but with a larger inside area and the spa was lovely. Really great stay. Would recommend strongly if you are in the area.We all simply loved it. Add to that the area you are in and the potential activities you can do and it is a superb place to stay.

Supreme excellence

This is a family resort like no other we've been too. We stayed in the camping area in our motorhome and were very impressed by all the facilities provided, which included and indoor/outdoor pool, a gym, a spa room with 2 saunas, a steam room, a sun room, a jacuzzi and plenty of hot and cold jet showers. All the camping facilities were absolutely superb, with immaculate large shower cubicles and wash rooms, washing up and laundry room with a large indoor drying room and free tumble driers.

We were sad to leave and would recommend it to anyone who loves the mountains.
