We had a really great stay here with a very nice breakfast with fresh juices and yoghurts and a small yet functional room. WiFi could be better as we had to login again a few times. The hotel is nicely located close to the U-bahn.

I still cannot find anything at fault with this place (see my earlier review from August 2016). For me it remains the best place to stay in Berlin. If you are travelling by car and they have no parking space available not to worry. The 24 hour garage across the street costs the same, is just as secure and offers more generous parking spaces, as the hotel's can be a bit tight if you have a big car. Other than that I will be choosing this place on my next visit to Berlin

We stayed with our two children in a hotel apartment next to the main building. It is suitable for families, spacious, convenient and clean.
The hotel is located in a quiet street, so noise is not a problem.
Location very close to U-, S- stations and bus stops, so it is easy to get almost anywhere in Berlin.
Also, in less than five-minutes walk, there is Schloss strasse, an area with shopping centres, shops and restaurants.
Overall, a hotel to recommend.

Main Hotel Building Rocks - Annex Building Schlocks

This hotel has two buildings: the main building, stylish white, looks nice, renovated in 2015, pays attention to detail, offers alot of comfort. The same thing cannot be said of the neighboring building - painted in drab, pea-soup color - which is the location of the so-called 'Apartment Rooms', We have stayed twice in apartment #116, and both times arrived to find every window and glass surface dirty and smeared with fingerprints. The kitchen window does not open at all, as there is no handle to pull it open, which, in Summer, makes for a very hot, very stuffy kitchen. The windows, themselves, are a mixture of new windows and some that seem to be at least 40 years old. The rear windows face a noisy parking lot and underground garage; the front windows face a noisy playground, filled with families by day, and party people by night. Whether back or front side of the apartment, there is guaranteed noise all around.

As for hotel staff: the cleaning crew are friendly; many of the reception people, however, are inexplicably unfriendly and could use some in-house Customer Service Training. Summary: the Apartment Rooms of the Hotel Anna are the neglected kin of the fancy main building, with uncomfortable beds, hard furniture, and they are simply too noisy, dirty and stuffy. Therefore, stay in the main building, if you can, for the neighboring house with the Family Apartments is uncomfortable and lacking. I would rate the rooms as 'poor', were it not for the bathroom which is surprisingly quite nice and large!

Back in town again

We had a 3 night stay this time at Anna 1908.
Our room was more spacious than last time and was so much better. Very clean and a comfortable bed to crash into after a long day in the city.
We had breakfast on 2 of the mornings which included a full range of cereals/fruits/breads/cheeses and cold meats. A plentiful supply of tea and coffee. The dining room is light and airy and also there are tables outside if weather permits.
The only thing I would like to see here is a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
