On a European tour, covering everywhere from Gibraltar to Sweden and back, this was the best hotel we stayed at. Masquerading as the Landhaus Schellhorn, of all the Akzent hotels I have visited, this has got to be the best. Only classified as 3*, but well worthy of at least one more. Helpful diligent staff, well appointed rooms with little extras (2 types of bottled water, various teas and coffees, biscuits etc.) thrown in and a restaurant to die for. The surrounding countryside may be similar to many other parts of northern Europe, but this hotel is worth a visit on its own.

We stayed here for a relative's special birthday and we were not dissapointed. Very nice spacious room, even though we had a bathroom across the hall it was fine. Very good food and a good place forfunctions. We would stay there again.

Comfortable room with excellent food

Clean and comfortable room in a quiet neighborhood. Parking at the property. Excellent food, especially the cakes and other baked products. There are other nearby restaurants and shoping area. The baker is on staff and they should never let her get away! Nice bar. Very helpful and friendly service, especially patient with us as English-only speakers. All this at a reasonable cost.

Nice place to stay

Visited this hotel in August, and had a nice and quiet stay. The room was nice - a bit on the small side, but had all we needed. Good bed, two chairs and a table by the window, and good space for keeping your stuff. Small, but adequate bathroom.The staff was really friendly and nice. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, and the food was very good. Breakfast was also nice. The hotel is situated in a quiet area about 20 minutes drive from Kiel. Free parking outside. Would go back at any time!
