Good hotel - would come again
Paul Mon 10/04/2017 22:50Travelling here for business, I picked this hotel due to the location - very close to where I needed to be and on the waterfront. It was a good choice.
Room was very comfortable. Nothing too memorable about it but it had everything I needed, plus a decent amount of space, and in the case of my room an excellent view over the water and yacht harbour. Just a pity it was dark when we arrived and we were off fairly early in the morning!
The breakfast buffet was typical generous German, which is great. There were a few dishes on offer which were extremely fishy, I suspect a Scandinavian influence. A few things made it a little above the normal standard - the honeycomb was unusual and rather nice.
We also ate here in the evening - it was a little unfair as we arrived quite late and the kitchen was closing. However, it was a good dinner, and we felt a little guilty at keeping the staff late - so we rushed a little and didn't have puddings.
Altogether this is a very nice hotel, reasonably priced, comfortable, good food, and an excellent location. I'd be really happy to come back.
Lovely position
Christine Don 21/10/2016 13:43Stayed for one night on the way home. The location of the hotel is stunning, right on the water front. Had a ground floor room with a view of the fjord, I think I would opt for a balcony view next time. Clean and the bed was very large and comfy. Ate in the restaurant and the service reminded of a certain fictional hotel in Torquay! Entertaining but not quite what you need. Would stay here again, the town itself is lovely.

lnschroderon 01/09/2016 21:39Nice hotel with good location at the Fjord. Many room have view of Fjord. Room with small balcony have particular nice view and room for a couple of chairs to enjoy the afternoon sunshine. Breakfast is OK, typically German.
Nice clean hotel in a great hotel
poodle2000on 07/05/2016 14:36I am very happy with this hotel. The rooms is nice and clean and very up to date. I have a lake view room which is nice. The restaurant is good. There is a mini bar with very reasonable prices. This price is nice and the free wifi is working well. Highly recommended, especially for a tourist visit.

Small town but nice and interesting. Walking around was enough. No car needed.
