Nice Hotel in Lovely Town (with one "but" )
sorrisaon 08/01/2012 19:32We stayed in this hotel while visiting a friend who lives in Tabarz. The hotel is right in town , easy to find and is quite l nice with a small front terrace to sit out on and have beer or coffee. The rooms were a nice size, good bathrooms, comfortable beds. The wi fi is NOT free and one has to pay quite a bit to obtain it. But there is supposedly free wi fi in the lobby and restaurant but we were never able to sign in . The hotel also has a sauna and a work out room downstairs, also at additional charges. Breakfast is amazing !!! The buffet selection is huge and the food is good. There is also great coffee there. We ate dinner there also twice and had very good meals, portions are large though so you might not want to have appetizers, salad and entree. The food is very flavorful and well done. One warning... while the manage of the hotel speaks english and one or two of the waitresses do, there is VERY little english spoken in this part of Germany so it can be a bit difficult. None of the info for the rooms nor the food menus have any english translations so it was difficult.
