Excellent stay

There were 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children) that stayed here for 3 nights. When we arrived we were greeted by Alessandra and her friendly assistant and was shown around each of the 3 rooms which were impressively decorated, each of them different. We were taken to the dining area which had a very nice view of the grand canal and offered a welcome drink as well as Burano biscuits. They provided us with a map and explained the things we might want to see whilst in Venice as well how to get there and how much it would cost this was very helpful as it allowed us to get the most out of Venice. The breakfast was excellent each morning greeted by friendly staff with a selection of meat, cheese, bread rolls, croissants, pizza, melon, cake, juices, teas and coffee. Scalon Del Doge is situated in a very good location. At the end of our stay the ladies of our group and the children were given souvenirs which was a very nice touch. I would highly recommend staying at Scalon Del Doge and if we return to Venice we will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Perfect

My wife and I visited Venice for our first wedding anniversary at the end of July and we absolutely loved it. I choose this hotel not only because of the location and the amazing reviews on Trip Advisor but mainly because of the owner, Alessandra.

Prior to booking, I emailed Alessandra and asked an incredible number of questions to ensure that our wedding anniversary was perfect and she was so helpful and knowledgeable - it was a no brainier to book this hotel.

When we arrived everything was outstanding, we were greeted by Alessandra and while we were checking in was offered us a cold drink and she gave us some very useful tips on what to do in Venice which I thought was very helpful and was a brilliant start to our trip.

Then we were showed our beautifully decorated Venetian room, which Alessandra explained everything, even had a little mini fridge with some still and sparkling water for no extra charge. Our room had a view of the side canals which gondolas passed which was beautiful and also had two separate bathrooms which was useful.

Breakfast was a continental breakfast which was very fresh and delicious. The view was amazing overlooking the courtyard and famous Grand Canal. What more could you ask for when drinking our morning coffee.

Also, despite checking out in the morning, we explored Venice in the day and were allowed to store our bags and on return we were even offered to freshen up and use the shower facilities ready for our evening flight home.

We will definitely be recommending Scalon del Doge to all our friends and family as it ticked every box for a perfect trip.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Alessandra for making our anniversary one to remember. Both you and your hotel are exceptional.

Great Hotel great hospitality perfect location

We stayed at Scalon del Doge for two nights from the 5th till the 7th of August 2017 and we had a great time. The hotel location is perfect. It's walking distance to San Marco square and Doge Palace. It's also few minutes from the famous Rialto bridge and the station to other islands like Murano and Burano. Many restaurants and shops are nearby. The hotel is very clean. I liked the Venetian decoration of the hotel and its rooms. We also enjoyed the great hospitality and help we got from Alessandra , Ezabella and the rest. They were very friendly and helpful. The showed us the main places and gave us fast track and discount to a glass factory in Murano and booked us a table in an awesome restaurant. I highly recommend Scalon del Doge.

Alessandra the host is amazing-so welcoming, helpful and her enthusiasm and knowledge helped add to our trip. The location of the property is perfect. Great room and breakfast added up to a great stay!

My daughter and I loved this bed and breakfast accommodation! The location is stunning ,within yards of the Rialto bridge and with views onto the Grand Canal seen from the small private courtyard landing deck. It was like stepping into a painting and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of our surroundings. It is a quiet and private place despite its proximity to the main tourist area and just tucked away from the crowds. Alessandra welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so kind and helpful at all times. There are just four rooms in the property which is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable. There was a small fridge and a safe box in the room too. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly,though this was not at all intrusive. The breakfast was continental style and pleasant. We would definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you Alessandra and team from Louise and Amy P ( North Yorkshire, UK)
