Olivia Ron 10/07/2017 17:43We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this hotel. The location was good: close to many restaurants and shops but a bit far from Petra to walk (20min. walk downhill). Our room was clean but needed some touch-ups. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; they even packed our breakfast to-go the day that we checked out (we had to leave very early morning). Breakfast was very good and plenty.
We would definitely go back!
One night stay
Khalil Kon 24/06/2017 07:15We stayed here last week June 21 2017. Very nice, clean simple place to rest after a hard trip to Petra. Rooms were small but beds were comfortable, clean and the bathrooms worked fine. For the price this place cannot be beat.
It is NOT an easy walk to the gates of Petra however. Recommend a 3-5jd taxi ride to Petra as the hill is quite steep. Do not need to stay next door to Petra as those hotels are more expensive.
I would stay here again next time we are in Jordan
Very pleasant stay
Tae Kon 14/06/2017 08:10When I arrived, I have found out the hotel I originally booked was closed (what a surprise!). Then I went to Al Rashid hotel, which was right beside. Knowing my situation, owner (sorry forgot your name!)introduced me other budget hotel near by. I was too tired then and asked him if I can stay at his hotel then he offered me discounted price at site (i looked it up at hotels.com). Really good AC, wifi and comfortable stay. Owner/staffs are really friendly and caring. Strongly recommended.

Hanneke Son 04/06/2017 15:08We stayed at the al rashid hotel for 3 nights. We did not pre-book. We got a room that was on the third floor, too far away to have wifi connection (the owner did tell us this when checking in). Breakfast was not included in the room price and cost an extra 5 JOD per night. We chose not to take it, because it could not be served early (we wanted to visit Petra early each morning because of the heat).
The room was spacious, however the sanitary was bad. The shower floor was broken so water would leak through and wet the whole bathroom floor. Furthermore, the toilet flusher was not working properly.
There was no safe in the hotel room.
All in all, not a great experience, would not recommend going here.

The staff were immediately helpful with bag assistance, information, restaurant recommendations, water, tips on getting around, etc. They prepared breakfast boxes for us because we were leaving before breakfast was available, and made sure we had everything we needed for our time around the town or at Petra. The room wasn't fancy, but it was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the showers were hot. Definitely recommend staying here for one or two nights while you're visiting Petra!
