Not great
Donna Gon 30/07/2017 17:03We stayed here for 3 nights during Sheridan rodeo. Air conditioner was in the wall below the window. The bed was approximately 2 foot away. The person on the side of the bed by the air conditioner froze, and the person on the other side of the bed got hot. That said, the room never got cool. We seriously considered just leaving there and finding another place. There were plenty of places with vacancies all over town. The only plus side was that there was a small neighborhood bar about a block from the motel. We enjoyed spending one evening there, playing pool and visiting with the locals. But we toughed it out. I wouldn't stay there again unless it was the very last resort.
Great Stay, Deat Deal
pkberneron 28/07/2017 23:10The room was immaculate, the staff was excellent, the price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay there again. We called the night before and said we would have a late arrival. The bed was comfortable and the staff could not have been any more helpful. They even gave us great dining recommendations.
Good Stay
The_Bohemianon 20/07/2017 07:06Booked the Alamo Motel through Hotels.Com and there were no issues. Em, the front desk man, was very pleasant, exceedingly patient, and wanted to deliver a good experience for his guests.
We love the motels where you drive right up to your door and the Alamo Motel is just that kind of place! We found our room to be clean, spacious, equipped with an updated bathroom, desk, good air conditioning, fridge and microwave, and plenty of electrical outlets for our gizmos and chargers.
The courtyard is small so parking, especially with a motorcycle and trailer, can be tricky.
The Alamo is within easy walking distance of a couple bars and restaurants. Our experience was favorable and we would definitely stay again if in Sheridan!
Do not book through Expedia!!
Crystal Ron 15/07/2017 19:01We had a reservation made through Expedia months ago, we walked in to check in and were told "we never received your reservation". I asked what were supposed to do. The reply was "Get your money back from Expedia". At that point I was more worried about where my family of 6 was going to stay the night as this was part of our road trip from Portland OR and we were really far from home. We weren't even given any kind of apology and the front desk people wouldn't even make eye contact. There was a big rodeo in town so my guess is they cancelled our reservation so they could rent the room out for a higher price. We ended up staying at the Super 8 which the staff was awesome! Expedia paid for one of the two rooms, we had to pay for the 2nd as no where else in town had a room to accommodate our family. Thanks for nothing Alamo Motel!
Don't stay here- they will rip you off
rmfoutchon 12/07/2017 20:31I tried to cancel my reservation and they said they would not allow me to cancel so I said ok, then I'll stay and they said "we refuse to give you a room key". I said "you have to either let me stay or allow me to cancel" and they refused. So they charged me even though I had to go somewhere else to stay. The reason I did not want to stay was because when I saw the room, the carpet was torn up and it smelled awful.
