Convenient with airport connection

It is our choice when we take flight from Schonefeld airport.

Friendly and helpful staff. We got big, nice room. Well stocked with soaps and shampoos and towels etc.

The prices seems to be good combined with 7 days parking and one night stand for 5 people.
Transfer to the airport and also from the airport included.
I can recommend.

Comfortable 7 convenient for both airport and Berlin

We returned after 10 years to the Albergo on 22 June knowing that it was bisected by a busy road to the front and a railway line to the back, yet found the ensuite room was just as comfortable, the bathroom excellent and the Italian restaurant still up to standard. Yes, it was noisy with the windows open but bearable. The biggest advantage of staying at the Albergo with its lower than city centre room rates, is that the hotel is only 15 minutes walk from the airport (you don't need the hotel shuttle unless the weather is foul) and 5 minutes walk to the train station where you can obtain a 24 hour all zone Berlin rail ticket at only 7.50 euros for a 21 minute ride into the city centre. After two nights, we picked up a hire car at the airport and continued with our holiday. The Albergo is a good choice for combining a city visit with other locations. Recommended.

Close to Berlin-Schonefeld airport

I flew into Tegel airport in the early evening and was flying out of Schonefeld airport early the next morning, so I booked at the Albergo Hotel. I was able to get off the subway and walk to the Albergo, and then the next morning walked to the airport (about 12-15 minutes) for my flight. The room was clean, the staff was helpful. The only downside was that I had to eat a quick breakfast (included) and went down when it opened, but everything was not laid out at opening, so I didn't get a complete breakfast from the "buffet." But, I'd definitely stay there again.

Descent rest with exended check out

This was a decent stay, the rooms are very clean, tidy and warm and great shower fascilities. Wifi available and easy to connect to. I had a couple of problems here; The first was handled well as the room i was initially put in smelt like a smoke hole. I was transfered to a different room which was better.

My second problem was with the shuttle service, it is a lovely service to offer especially as its free but i would recommend that it needs to improve, maybe just have one clear pick up point stated on your website so guests know exactly where to go on arrival because the amount of phone calls I had to make with miscommunicated information... in one occassion leaving me stranded outside in the cold!! I eventually walked back myself out of disappointment and no longer wanting to standing in the cold at night, its a good thing the Hotel was in walking distance on a main road.
On a customer service point of view, a free breakfast would have been nice considering the problems i had and its my birthday the next day.

The staff were apologetic, but i think more needs to be done to meet the 4star standard you claim.
Maybe more english speakers considering your by the airport and dealing with many travelers from around the world, I had the phone hung up on me twice by a lady who picked up the phone and could not speak English... I had a good rest and felt welcome here but hope that the feedback helps you improve.

Bad customer service

I reserved a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, over the email, a day before I arrived. I got a reply that someone would pick me up. When I arrived and called the hotel, they said the shuttle got broken and that nobody can pick me up. It was a snow storm. A good customer service means that if the inconvenience happen, like in this case, they offer you a taxi ride, considering it's a very short ride. For me was not a problem to walk a short distance but the snow made difficult walking with my suitcase. The only problem I had is that they were not professional to offer an alternative to transfer me to the hotel because of the snow storm. In the morning when I check out, the other staff was there and I told them a story what had happened the night before and they apologized and said, "usually we pick up the guests in one of our other cars (private cars of the employees), and I wonder why the afternoon shift receptionist didn't do anything about it considering there were at least 2 people there, a girl at the front desk and a guy behind in the "office". They didn't do anything to make me feel better, at least offer a free drink or something. It's not about the money, it's about the treatment of the guests. I work in a hotel industry and mistakes happen. But you have to know how to fix it and do something nice for the guest to make him/her feel better. Maybe some of their employees need more training in order to work in a hotel at the front desk.
