Exceeded our expectations, definitely recommend
51happytraveller51on 21/07/2017 08:39This is a family run hotel therefore straight away seemed to have the personal touch. It is quite large (larger than we thought from the information) and set in attractive gardens with a lovely large pool which we had to ourselves at times. Quirky room with a nice balcony big enough to sit on at a small table and all areas very clean? Do eat in the restaurant although you are close to many restaurants and bars in town. Hotel restaurant very reasonable for menu de dia and an excellent experience with quality food nicely oresented and good service. Tip: take a beach towel for pool.
QUIET OASIS
GisaPyramidon 15/07/2017 12:55Stayed here recently, on the advice of a friend, for 3 days in order to get a break from the Costa.. We enjoyed every minute.
The Hotel is very deceptive from outside. But once inside the gardens and general lay out are very spacious.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel and we dined here each night and were very pleased with the standards and price.
It is an excellent base for exploring the Sierra Nevada and if you are a walker there is no where better..
Looking forward to going back.
Nice facilities but unfriendly reception staff
jckhahnon 03/07/2017 15:47This hotel has lovely grounds, a great swimming pool and our room was clean and mostly comfortable (the pillows are very hard). We also had a meal at the hotel restaurant which was very satisfactory. However, the front desk staff were most unwelcoming on our arrival, and also unhelpful with our request for a swimming pool towel. I believe they do sell them, but not to us. This place has some really good points, just don't expect a friendly greeting and bring your own pool towel.
An excellent stay
andrew ron 01/07/2017 14:55Having enjoyed lunch several times over the last few years we decided this year to have an overnight stay. Once again the Menu Del Dia did not disappoint and the standard of both the food and the service was excellent. The hotel is very well presented and the gardens and communal areas are beautifully maintained. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We would certainly return to this hotel if we are in the area again and wouldn't hesitate to strongly recommend it. The Ransoms and The Lees.
