Excellent b&b
Natasja_8on 06/08/2017 22:57This was an excellent b&b! Our room was large enough to easily accomodate the four of us, the room and bathroom were very nicely designed and very comfortable.
The complimentary homemade icetea and small treats near the coffeemaker were a nice touch and very much appreciated, not only by our children. Breakfast was copious and delicious as well. Staff was very helpfull. Ferrara is rather small so we did everything on foot but there are bikes in severall sizes, including childsizes, available for guests. In all; a very good place to stay!

TonyAykon 02/07/2017 15:12The Alchimia is a wonderful place to stay in Ferrara. The ambience, bedrooms and ensuites are spacious and modern, yet located in a building with a great atmosphere from 1468.
The hosts are very friendly, full of knowledge and extremely helpful.
Breakfast is a delight and there is free off street parking, gardens to relax in and free bikes to explore the city.

Shi Huon 09/06/2017 00:51The cats rule the roost and turtles keep the lawn trimmed. Their charming family run this B & B. This is a nicely run family affair.
The quiet and efficient AC kept our well-equipped room comfortable. There was a safe in a closet which had space for stacking sweaters. Shower only and bring your own wash cloths! However, the bed and pillows were rather too firm for my preference.
The home-made yogurt made my mornings along with many of the usual AM choices and the coffee was strong well appreciated. As you've read, on-site parking was convenient.
An excellent parrucchiera, Debby, was just two doors down and Il Don Giovanni, a 1-star Michelin restaurant, was only a three minute walk.
I wish the family the best of luck but I would suggest offering guests other choices of pillows, "a modest proposal"!

An amazing surprise
DamRome75on 16/05/2017 17:18Absolutely a surprise. Beautiful rooms, with more than you need. Awesome garden with nice inhabitants...six cats for relaxing. Last but not least...incredible breakfast: organic-homemade cakes, pastry, yogurt....enjoy
