Lee Mon 03/08/2017 21:49Do not go here that's all I can say. Tiny room, terrible sleep, disappointing breakfast, horrible, dirty hotel. Very outdated, basic and overall an unenjoyable experience. Only positive was the location.
Cold hard breakfast buffet
Couple206on 02/08/2017 20:49Stayed here on business a couple of times, just back from another stay and they have obviously not taken on board previous comments. The so called hot buffet breakfast is certainly not hot, bacon egg,potato scone etc are all brick hard as well as cold !! Mushroom ,tomato , and pakora type bread?? Are also cold. I have previously suggested putting scrambled egg in the section as this is preferable to hard cold fried eggs. If environmental health went into this establishment and tested temperatures they would close the kitchen/ breakfast area down !!! Its only a after of time before this happens.On the plus side rooms are clean and comfortable and staff very pleasant . Suggestion / either stop doing breakfast or get it right before you are closed down by environmtal health !!
Moderate, outdated hotel
Eva Zon 02/08/2017 09:32The Alexander Thomson Hotel in Glasgow is in very much need of a renovation. The bathrooms are old, as are the rooms. The price is somewhat high for what you get. The location is very convenient though. The staff ought to be a little more friendly. When we wanted to have breakfast it was so busy with guests that we had to wait. Breakfast is okay, even though I would have preferred more choices in bread.

Good selection of breakfast, buffet style.
Room to the front first floor noisy due to busy main road, single glazing, no sound proofing.

Mandy Hon 31/07/2017 21:26Has an over night stay including breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful room was clean and comfortable great location to city centre shops and both train and bus stations. Breakfast had a great selection but could have been a little warmer
