Decent hotel

Pros: Conveniently located, only a short walk from the metro; decent price; breakfast was included and typically consisted of juices, some pastries, oatmeal, the basics; the front desk staff is very helpful with things like directions and setting up taxis.

Cons: We arrived with a group, and though it was rather large, the hotel was unprepared for us. We arrived at 5:45 and was told our room wasn't ready. We finally got the key to our room at 7:45, which is ridiculous. (In their defense, we did end up getting the largest room with air conditioning, for no extra charge.)

Nice hotel for the price

We stayed here for several days of sightseeing in St. Petersburg. The hotel is conveniently located near one of metro stops which is only about two stops from the center of town. We had one of only two of the rooms with air-conditioning and it was very nice. The rooms without air-conditioning are a little smaller and not quite so nice. Breakfast in the morning was served up on time but was a little plain. There wasn't much English spoken but enough to get things done. Especially with the weaker ruble these days it was very reasonably priced. The neighborhood is not particularly great but it is quiet and off the beaten path a bit. And there are a few nice restaurants in the area if you don't want to go all the way into the center of town

Excellent location and great value

We stayed here before and love the central location. Our room was comfortable, spacious and has everything we need. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
We have a very good memory of restaurant, where you can taste a lot of different Russian and European food, prises are very affordable too. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and we will be staying here again next time we come to St. Petersburg.

Hotel is pretty basic, but probably good value for money In a good position. Easy walk to the metro and right into the city if you are happy to walk a bit further. We often got the metro one way or the other but enjoyed walking around the off the beaten track streets. Strange, but very small towels! WIFI was really good. Breakfast, which is included, is pretty basic but hey, it's free and sufficient for a good start to the day. Soundproofing between rooms isn't great but we got good sleeps anyway, Clean, staff speak English and are very helpful. No air con which was fine as it was quite cold when we were there, but with no fly screens on the windows and opening onto a road don't think it would have been great if it had been hot.

Practical and Comfortable

A small little hotel set a bus/ metro ride away from St. Petersberg's central area. Excellent Reception staff- spoke impeccable English, and went out of their way to organise things for us. They organised cabs for our trips to the opera and night boat trip, and followed up with the cab drivers until we were back in the hotel. The breakfast is basic- and could be more varied. The only downer was the fact that the rooms have no air conditioning- so we needed to keep the windows open (It was warm in Aug). At night we heard loud sounds from the bar nearby and also of fast motorbikes and cars. The rooms are clean, but the towels are small!
